Toydarians

Toydarians are a race of aliens from the Star Wars universe, whose members are mostly identical to humans. They were the slaves of Anakin Skywalker, and are nearly identical to each other. A Toydarian King ruled over Toydaria, and allowed vassals to form allegiances. This allowed infighting to occur, which weeded out treachery. Toydarians are also shrewd businessmen. They can haggle over just about any deal, including their own. However, they are also loyal and proud.

Toydarians were initially ruled by the Hutt Empire, and most of them lived in Hutt-ruled colonies. Some Toydarians left the Hutt-dominated sector to make money elsewhere in the Galaxy. Some of them became traders and con artists, but most remained relatively neutral and led respectable lives. Eventually, the Hutt Empire would join forces with the New Republic and rule over all of Star Wars.

Squid Heads

The Squid Head was a sentient aquatic creature that lived on the planet Dac. These squid-like creatures possessed fur-like tails, large gill-like structures, and a large, squid-like head. Their bodies were covered with leathery skin that needed moisture to maintain its shape. Their small mouths had two fang-like teeth that protruded outwards, as well as four tentacles. They had very advanced hearing organs.

While most people recognize the squid-headed character as a toy, the real ones were a bit more complex. The Quarren, native to the planet Mon Cala, were amphibious, allowing them to live comfortably on their estuary moons and water planets. In the movies, the Quarren were often depicted as bureaucrats and they were a key part of the Separatists. Their head functionary, Tessk, was an example of this.

Klatooinians

The Klatooinians are a sentient humanoid species from the planet Klatooine. These aliens ranged in color from green to brown and were characterized by imposing brows and toothy overbites. During the Clone Wars, Zonder, a Selonian Jedi Padawan, was an enforcer for the Jedi Knight Barriss Offee. He acted as a mercenary, and was also force-sensitive.

As canine-like humans, Klatooinians were once slaves for the Hutts. They eventually broke free and started their own civilization, but not before worshiping and honoring the Hutts. Their culture emphasized the wisdom of their elders, and their names are mostly melodic and in lighter tones. Regardless of their origins, the Klatooinians are known for their steadfast loyalty and religious observance.

Twi’leks

The Star Wars universe has been full of strange aliens, and Twi’leks are no exception. The iconic alien species was first introduced in A New Hope in the Mos Eisley Cantina, but few aliens are as iconic as the twi’lek. They were supporting characters in both the prequel and the classic films, and are easily identifiable by their unique head-tails.

Twi’leks have a unique head-tail called a lekku. These protrusions come from the back of their heads and serve important purposes for the species. Their lekku have a number of uses, including being the Twi’lek’s primary means of communication. During a battle, they can communicate by using these protruding tails. However, they can only communicate with other Twi’leks when they are in a fight.

Kaminoans

In the Star Wars series, the alien Kaminoans play a significant role in the conflict between the Empire and the Galactic Republic. These aliens are extremely dangerous and notorious for creating deadly armies. Their presence in the Star Wars series led to the rise of the Empire and the Clone Wars. But how did the Kaminoans end up in the Empire’s orbit? Listed below are some details on these aliens and how they came to be.

In the original Star Wars trilogy, Kaminoans were an extragalactic sentient species that lived on an aquatic planet. They were masters of cloning technology, creating clone troopers for the Grand Army of the Republic. They also collaborated with the Sith, and their biochips triggered the infamous Order 66. The aliens have been the subject of numerous comic and movie stories since their appearance in the original trilogy.

Tusken Raiders

While the majority of “Star Wars” aliens are racially homogeneous, there are exceptions. The Tusken Raider is a relatively well-known species that appeared in the 1999 Star Wars comic book, Republic #62. This species is characterized by its long tusks, which are used in construction, and its overall appearance resembles that of a predator.

The first appearance of the Tuskens comes in Season 1 of “The Mandalorian.” In this episode, the Mandalorian enlists the help of the Tuskens to destroy the Krayt Dragon, which is a real beast that frightens the human settlers of Mos Pelgo. The Mandalorian’s quest eventually returns to the Sand People in A New Hope.
