A few years ago, a rumor about a portable GameCube design circulated on the internet, but it never came to fruition. The rumor was quickly proven wrong, however, when Twitter user @GingerOfMods posted on YouTube that he had successfully modified Metroid Prime 2: Double Trouble. Despite the difficulties in obtaining these tools, the YouTuber’s video proved to be a helpful guide for the rest of us.

GC Video adapter
A GC Video adapter for GameCube games can be used to connect a GameCube to a modern television. It uses open source software called GCVideo, which offers a much clearer picture than a standard AV cable. It works with any DOL-001 GameCube and most modern HDMI TVs. It is easy to use and does not require additional power, and it comes with a programmed remote.
The GCVideo can be installed on the underside of your motherboard. It allows you to directly output video from MultiAV. Although RGB is generally considered to be better, the YPbPr signals from the GameCube are a different story. The GCVideo enables you to view supported games in 480p, which will greatly improve picture quality. The GCHD is a great solution for those who want to view Gamecube games on a high-quality TV without expensive component cables.
Xeno Chip
If you’ve ever wondered if you could modify your Gamecube games, the Xeno Chip is the answer. Essentially, the chip lets you modify the games that are not available in your region. Unlike other methods of modification, this one does not require you to remove the mainboard of your Gamecube console. Instead, you simply install a chip and enjoy region-free game play.
Once installed, a mod chip will allow you to modify GameCube games by preventing copyrighted discs from being read. This will prevent scratches from occurring on original discs. Unlike other solutions, the Xeno Chip can be installed without any soldering skills. This chip fits snugly onto the Gamecube motherboard, with all solder pads aligned perfectly. It also supports directing booting of DVD+-RW discs. It works with all GameCube versions and regions.
After the Xeno Chip has been installed, it’s time to test it. To test if it’s working, you should watch the green LED while it turns on. When the green LED comes on, your drive is patched successfully. Make sure the solder joints are secure. Alternatively, you can use an SD card reader to load backup copies of your games. The XenoGC is compatible with SD cards and a variety of clones.
Swiss Disc
You can load your GameCube with homebrew software and games using a MicroSD card. This homebrew also works with the SD card adapter. To load the Swiss disc, you must first install the Xeno Modchip on your GameCube. If you don’t want to use a modchip, you can also use action replay and sdgecko to boot your homebrew software and games.
The GC Loader is not yet capable of writing data to the SD card. The latest version must be placed on the SD card. Alternatively, you can save the Swiss disc’s settings to the gamecube’s normal memory card. However, there is a limitation to the size of the SD card and the size of the game. This limitation should be fixed in the near future. In the meantime, you can continue playing games on your GameCube without a CD or DVD.
Metroid Prime 2: Double Trouble mod
If you’re looking for a Metroid Prime 2 mod, this is it. This mod adds new bosses and level structures to Metroid Prime 2. The game takes place on the planet Aether. After a meteor destroys their peaceful home planet, the dimensional rift opens, and the violent Ing race emerges. To survive, the Luminoth must collect light energy from the Ing.
If you’re not familiar with the original Metroid series, the Double Trouble mod for Gamecube adds new items and AI to the classic game. The game also allows you to hear Samus’ inner monologue, which makes the experience more rewarding. However, you should be aware that this game may contain spoilers. While Metroid Prime 2 isn’t the perfect game, it still manages to live up to its hype.
The Double Trouble mod for Gamecube adds hacks to the game’s equipment and makes it easier to defeat bosses. Some of the hacks are: Dark and Light Suits crash the game upon loading, Screw Attack and Sunburst deal massive damage. Other notable changes include: Sonic Boom seems to be missing shot animations, and it can only acquire three targets at a time.
