New races
The newest patch for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has just been released, and with it comes some major changes. Not only are the zones changed, but the races themselves have also begun to expand their knowledge and expand their range of abilities. In addition to the new races, there are some new class combinations as well. Let’s take a look at some of these new combinations.
The new World of Warcraft expansion introduces more than 30 new races, including the legendary Argus, Blood Elf, and Draenei. This expansion also introduces guild based achievements that allow players to work together to unlock new features and perks. Guilds that earn achievements can gain benefits such as mass resurrections, faster leveling, and new mounts. These improvements are meant to make the game more fun for players of all levels, so it’s likely that you’ll find yourself playing it for years to come.
New dungeons
There are several new dungeons in World of WarCraft Cataclysm. One of them is the Prison of Tol Barad. This dungeon combines the idea of Wintergrasp with the Isle of Quel’Danas from the Burning Crusade. In addition, it will become the daily hub for the expansion. Once you beat the Prison of Tol Barad, you’ll be able to access the new bonus daily.
New dungeons in World of Wrath: Cataclysm adds many new PvE and PvP content. The developer Blizzard is aiming to create three new battlegrounds. One of them, Battle for Gilneas, will feature combat in the streets of Gilneas, with players taking control of districts and establishing new factions. Another is Rated Battlegrounds, which will give players access to their Arena gear and ranks.
New professions
As you’re gearing up for the next expansion, you’ll be wondering: what new professions are available? World of Warcraft Cataclysm includes a new profession, Inscription, which is a versatile skill that allows you to customize your abilities. This new profession will pair well with other abilities, such as Herb Gathering. You can also trade or sell glyphs of your skills at the auction house.
If you’re already a level 60 rogue, you’ll be surprised to learn that there are new secondary professions as well. Archeology, for instance, is new. With the ability to create powerful items, you’ll be able to call ancient pets and mounts. Archeology also gives you access to new guild achievements and leveling milestones. It’s important to note that you can only be a master archeologist if you’ve been a guild leader for at least one month.
Grind fest
The third expansion of World of Warcraft is a reimagining of the six-year-old game. Blizzard, which has always played off the theme park jibe, has done it again in Cataclysm, with a goblin-built roller coaster that shoots players around the crescent bay of a rocky zone. Riding the Rocketway can earn you an achievement, complete with a digital souvenir.
In addition to the new races, the expansion also increased the level cap to 85. There are more guidelines for grinding in Cataclysm than in previous expansions. While the endgame in this expansion is similar to previous expansions, the grind is more involved and requires more in-game time. You will still be facing dungeons, rep grinds, and profession grinds to advance. Nevertheless, the experience is much more stable and balanced than previous expansions.
Radical game changer
The game’s latest expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, is a complete overhaul of the core gameplay, with a new system for leveling and storytelling. The game no longer is geographically-based and is set over the past two years, rather than the entire history of the world. This radical change is aimed at making the game more engaging for existing fans, as well as new players.
Its storyline revolves around Deathwing the Destroyer, who breaks through a dimensional barrier to cause biblical devastation. Deathwing’s arrival transforms the in-game world, as lush greenery is replaced by scorched wastelands, and deserts turn into fertile grasslands. A volcanic fissure divides what was once one land into two. The new expansion also introduces two new playable races – the worgen and the Bilgewater Cartel, which are based on Kezan.
