While gorillas are technically part of the defensive pet family, they have unique abilities not found in any other pets in the game. Thunderstomp, a 60-second AE attack, is one of these abilities. Thunderstomp is a great way to hold threat on multiple mobs. It’s like an on-demand taunt. Read on for more information! So, what should you look for in a gorilla pet?
Table of Contents
Renan
One of the most beautiful animals in the game is the gorilla, Renan. The greenish fur is covered in bandages, and its face looks like it belongs to the gorilla family. Unlike most gorillas, Renan can hide in plain sight. Its two special skills make it a great choice for hunters. As it tames undead creatures, it can also disrupt spellcasting for two seconds. This makes it an excellent choice for PvP and 5-player dungeons.
Clefthooves
There is a lot of speculation about the appearance of clefthoofs in the World of Warcraft. While they used to be called rhinos, their presence on Azeroth has been expanded to include clefthoofs from Draenor. Clefthoofs have strong special abilities, such as their Presence which inspires raids. This pet will also grant you 3% Versatility and 5% Multistrike chance. Moreover, Clefthooves’ skin will thicken when they fall below 40% health and grant you 50% reduced incoming damage for 12 seconds.
You can obtain this gorilla pet through a quest in Stranglethorn Vale of the Eastern Kingdoms. You can also get the Clefthooves as a world of warcraft gorilla pet in the Ferocity specialization. A Clefthoof is a large Kodo-like beast native to Nagrand and Alternate Draenor. This pet drops Clefthoof Meat, which is great for cooking and preparing meals for your guild.
Carrion bird with Screech
The Carrion bird is a generalist pet with a decent amount of damage. Their screech ability makes them good for dealing with mobs because of their lowered attack power. Their high armor also means they can deal with Screech without too much difficulty. They also have fast diving speed, which makes them a great tank for tanky players. And because of their screech ability, carrion birds have great damage output, making them perfect for tanking.
Besides being useful as a tank, the Carrion bird also deals decent damage. It ties with the bat as the best pet to use for holding aggro. While it doesn’t need to use the Bite skill, it does increase DPS and reduces its Screech frequency. So if you’re looking for a gorilla pet that will tank and deal damage, this might be the one for you.
Broken Tooth
When it comes to gorilla pets, the Broken Tooth is the best choice for hunters. The pet is very fast, able to perform one attack every 1.1 seconds compared to the 1.2 to 2.5 seconds of most other pets. This gorilla also inflicts spell pushback on casters. However, Broken Tooth is heavily camped and has three spawn locations in the Badlands.
Although this gorilla is tanky and has decent DPS, its armor and health are not very impressive. It is a bit boring, with only three abilities – Bite, Cower, and Growl. In addition, it is not very versatile, as you can only feed it meat and fish, while gorillas can eat fruits and fungi. As far as abilities go, the Broken Tooth is the best choice for PVP and all-around play.
