According to his official bio on the World of Warcraft website, he died during the Battle of the Five Armies.

The story of Varian’s life began when he was a child. His father was murdered by Prince Arthas, who led an army of undead across Lordaeron. The young Varian was a child when his father was killed, and he saw the aftermath. The dead king’s body was engulfed in maggots, and thousands of worms obliterated his face.

Adamant

Adamant, the human king of World of Warcraft, died of natural causes not long after the First Battle of Azeroth began. Llane Wrynn was only 20 years old when the war began. He was the son of Anduin and Cally Lothar. When his father was killed, he inherited Stormwind and the War his people had been fighting for years. The Defias Brotherhood is a group of mercenaries in World of Warcraft that specializes in robbery. Its name comes from the fact that they hear about robbery activities before the Stormwind Guard. They often visit new initiates, instruct them, and threaten them with pneumatic crossbows. After their training, most initiates join one of their raiding parties. They have a number of well-established groups, including the notorious Defias Brotherhood.

The Defias Brotherhood took advantage of the political crisis in Stormwind City and expanded throughout the entire kingdom. However, their wrath was short-lived. When Vanessa VanCleef was killed by the Alliance in the Battle of Westfall, the Defias lost all of their territories. They eventually lost control of the city. Then, they began a campaign of revenge to take over their empire.

Anduin

Anduin, human king of World Of Warcraft, has a dark past and is battling a new enemy in the game. His first battle with the undead lord Jailer is a bloody one, as his allies are shocked and appalled. But he quickly recovers and is determined to face the new threat head on. Despite his aging body, Anduin is a strong warrior, and his love of Zandalar is evident.

As the last descendant of the Arathi bloodline, Anduin is granted the title of Supreme Commander, and also receives the honor of Knight Champion. But he is ultimately killed in the Battle of Blackrock Mountain, where he plans an incoming ambush with Warchief Orgim Doomhammer. Anduin was outnumbered in this battle, but was still regarded as a true hero.
