What Cache Files to Delete From Sims 3

If you want to save space in your computer, you must know what cache files to delete from Sims 3. Here are a few of these files: FeaturedItems folder, Thumbnails folder, and DefaultCache. After deleting these files, you need to re-install the game to clear up all your data. After you have completed the tutorial, you should be able to continue playing Sims 3.

FeaturedItems folder

The FeaturedItems folder contains thousands of pictures for the Sims 3 store. You can delete all of the files in the folder to speed up the game and prevent ads from popping up. The folder is located in Documents/EA/Sims 3. You must restart your computer after deleting it to make changes. To do so, navigate to Documents/EA/Sims 3 and click the “Cache” icon.

If you’re unable to locate these items in your Sims 3 game, you can try deleting the FeaturedItems folder. This folder is in the Electronic Arts/Sims 3 cache files, which is why the name is FeaturedItems. This will result in a FeaturedItems folder that’s completely different from the original EA file.

The FeaturedItems folder is a huge area that Sims 3 will download a lot of pictures to. This folder is downloaded automatically each time you launch the game, taking up a lot of space on your hard drive. You can disable automatic downloading of FeaturedItems by reading the guide on Crinrict’s blog. However, you should make sure that you remove the files that are no longer necessary.

Another important folder to delete is the FeaturedItems folder. This is where all the household content is stored. You can delete these items to prevent unwanted content from appearing. This is a great way to prevent duplicate content, and it’s free! However, be sure to check if your game is using the latest version of the game to prevent any problems. The latest update also fixes a glitch that prevented you from downloading the game.

Thumbnails folder

There are two ways to get rid of the clutter created by the Thumbnails folder on your PC: by deleting files from the folder and exporting them from the game. Exporting them is a safe way to remove just one thumbnail, and deleting them is a fast and easy way to reduce the number of images on your PC. To export thumbnails, double click on CASP and then copy the instance resource. Make sure to leave out the initial “0x”. Paste this resource into a text editor, and it will find the right thumbnails for you.

The FeaturedItems folder contains the In-Game-Advertising files in the game. If you delete this folder, the game will start from scratch. But this method is for Windows users. If you are a Mac user, it will be a bit different. If you find the folder, you’ll be unable to use Riverview and other new worlds, or use the Create-a-World tool. If you’re an OS X user, you can read the following article.

After you’ve extracted the THUMs folder, you can either import the images from your computer or manually save them as PNG files. If you have a CAS item, you can edit the thumbnails only if you have renumbering enabled. By default, you can edit the thumbnails on your PC, but if you’ve deleted them from your CAS, you’ll have to import them again. However, if you’d rather keep them, you can clone them in S3OC and save the image over the extracted image. You must then reimport your images into your TS3 package.

FeaturedItems

The Sims 3 generates new cache files every time you restart the game. To remove these files, locate the FeaturedItems folder, and delete all of the files inside of it. This folder contains game and saved family files. By deleting this folder, the game will run faster and fewer ads will be displayed. The next step is to set the FeaturedItems folder to read-only.

The folder containing all the game’s thumbnails can become overloaded, and deleting the data from there will fix this problem. You should also delete all files inside of the “Thumbnails” folder. This folder also contains your saved games and backups. The thumbnails window will now be clean and refreshed. If you still notice distorted images, try deleting the cache files.

If you’re looking to improve the performance of your Sims 3 game, it’s time to clean up the FeaturedItems folder. The FeaturedItems folder generates hundreds of jpeg files of store items. Disabling the folder will not only improve the game’s performance, but it will also remove unwanted store thumbnails. You can also decrease the graphics quality if you’re concerned about performance.
