What Characters Are Supposed to Be in Chowder?

There’s a new animated TV show on the block called Chowder, which stars a cast of brightly colored creatures named after food. Meet Chowder, Mung Daal, and Truffles, who live with Chowder. Then learn more about these characters in the video below. Hopefully you’ll feel a little better about your chowder–or at least your slop!

Shnitzel

The most famous example of a shnitzel is the shnitzel burger, which is a popular American breakfast item. In many parts of the world, people eat chowder made with mashed potatoes. But, did you know that chowder also comes in a vegetarian version? You can find it at restaurants in many cities, including New York. But, if you are wondering how shnitzel ends up in chowder, then this is not the place for you to find it.

Gorgonzola

The rat Gorgonzola is supposed to be in the chowder is actually a dreaded character. Gorgonzola is green, rat-like, and has a large blue-green wax candle atop its head, with its ears poking out. It has a long snout and a black nose, with two yellow buck teeth. Its eyes are often drawn with bags under them. It has a curly tail with three stripes.

Panini

In the comic book series, “Chowder” by C.H. Greenblatt, Panini is a pink-furred cat-bear-rabbit. Her ears are usually tied in ponytails or pigtails. Her eyes are rose-colored. Her usual outfit is a yellow sleeveless dress with light green polka-dots and green shoes. Her hair band is a light green polka-dot hair band. During the comics, she wears a yellow dress with light green polka-dots and her shoes are a pair of green sock-toed heels. Panini’s costume changes dramatically when she is angry. Pate

The humanoid character Pate sings operatic songs in the cartoon Chowder. He has grass-green hair, a black hat, and exaggerated lips. His first appearance is in the second episode of Chowder’s Girlfriend, when he sings ‘I’m Not Your Boyfriend.’ Pate later appears on “The Apprentice Games” episode. During a game, he sings to Panini, revealing his name.

Mr. Fugu

The character of Mr. Fugu is a red, oddly-shaped living balloon, complete with a toupee, and he enjoys eating a lot of food. He is the most frequent customer of Mung Daal’s restaurant, and he plays a pivotal role in Chowder. The character also appears in the films Hands On A Big Mixer and The Blast Raz. The character gets his name from the food Fugu, a dish made from pufferfish/blowfish. This food is notoriously poisonous if not prepared correctly.

Sgt Hoagie

In the third season of the television series “Chowder”, Sgt. Hoagie is the police dog for the Marzipan City Police Department, where he is known as the “Sgt. Hoagie.” As a police dog, he always goes first, even in the most dangerous situations. He has appeared in three episodes, but we’re not sure whether he’s the master or an apprentice. Sgt Hoagie’s real name is Rusty, but he hasn’t been on a date in 12 years.

Kiwi

The character of Kiwi is a photorealistic pink creature that gives advice to Chowder and occasionally provides interstitial narrations. In the episode “Brain Grub”, the name of the character is revealed. He is later reduced to selling used cars after altering the universe of the animated series. The character’s name is also a pun on the word “kiwi”, which means ‘kiwi’ in English.
