How Do I Turn Off the Borderlands 2 Intro?

If you’re like me and hate the Borderlands 2 intro, don’t worry, it can be disabled. Just rename the MARCUS_INTRO.BACKUP file and it should be off. If you don’t want to disable the intro entirely, you can always skip it until you’ve completed the first walkthrough. If you can’t do that, you can try these two solutions.

Unskippable intros in Borderlands 2

There is an option in Borderlands 3 to skip the cinematic intro. To do so, rename the MARCUS_INTRO file to anything but “intro.” If you are playing the game on PC, this is not an option. However, Gearbox Software may provide a patch to allow players to skip the cinematic intro at some point. For now, though, the only way to skip the intro is to use the Windows 10 version of the game.

Fortunately, there are methods to bypass the unskippable intros in Borderlands 2. PC users can simply rename the “MARCUS_INTRO” or “MARCUS_INTRO_BACKUP” file. This way, they don’t have to watch the same intro each time they load the game. Then, they can play the game as usual. The unskippable intros aren’t annoying, but they can eat into their gaming time.

There is another way to skip the borderlands 3 cutscene: if you have a dual-screen console, you can use a special cheat to skip the introductory cutscenes. Alternatively, you can save the game before the cutscene and replay it whenever you want to. However, if you don’t have an extra copy of the game, you can use a program called Skip Intro on PC to skip the intro.

Disable all cutscenes in Borderlands 2

The first step to bypassing the cutscenes in Borderlands 2’s introduction is to locate the WillowEngine. ini file in your TPS or my games folder. There you will find an option called bForceNoMovies that disables all cutscenes. If you wish to skip the intro entirely, follow these steps:

Open the game’s folders: the main game files are located in the ‘OakGame’ folder. Then look for ‘Game Files’, ‘Content’, and ‘Movies’. If you don’t see the “-nostartupmovies” option, open the config file and change it accordingly. You should now be able to skip the intro, but you’ll lose achievements and trophies.

Then, select Option 2 and click OK. Now, the game will skip the cutscenes, but you’ll miss out on the Sanctuary movie, as well as other memorable character intro movies. To disable all cutscenes in Borderlands 2, click on Option 2.

Avoiding the intro until you finish your first walkthrough

You can avoid the intro until you’ve completed your first walkthrough in Borderlands 2 if you’re a beginner. You’ll miss out on some interesting character intro movies. Here are some examples. First, avoid playing as Zer0. This character has a lot of power, and you’ll need a fast reflexes to get the most out of him. Second, you’ll want to avoid playing as the Sanctuary movie, which is particularly irritating.
