The frenetic pace of URF is a characteristic of the game mode. It is also known as ARAM, which was introduced in 2011 as a custom game mode. Back then, ARAM was an important feature that sparked the interest of players, allowing them to take what they liked most about the game and incorporate it in their own game. While removing this feature from the game, a good alternative has been found.

Lethal Tempo
There is a lot of confusion about what the new changes in ARURF (All Random Ultra Rapid Fire) mean for players who play the ultimate hunter. The new ability will increase your mana regen and cooldown reduction. It will also scale so you will have more flexibility in snowball builds. However, there are some things to keep in mind before you use the new Ultimate Hunter ability. Let’s take a look.
First, URF’s cooldown reduction has been altered. Summoners now start the game with 80% reduced cooldowns and no ability costs. Ability Haste has replaced this cooldown reduction, which scales with other stats. Secondly, URF’s cooldown reduction will be replaced by Ability Haste, which stacks with other sources. As for other changes to ARF, the new changes did not affect the ultimate hunter, but they did affect the way it was played.
Ultimate Hunter
It has long been speculated that the rune for Ultimate Hunter may be taken off the PBE, but that could not be further from the truth. This rune does have a niche power that few other runes in the game can compete with. That’s why players may choose it over others in the Domination path – the power of this rune is not too overpowering but it lacks agency. The problem is that the other runes aren’t as niche power-packed, which can lead to problems in the future.
Aphelios
You’ve probably wondered why Aphelios’s urf got removed. While the weapon’s power and damage output is decent, there are some glaring weaknesses to this urf. The biggest is the fact that it lacks escapes and survivability due to its AoE. If you play Aphelious with Lee Sin, however, you’ll be able to mitigate the weak spot in the duo. Moreover, Lee Sin has massive shields and can spin onto Aphelious to absorb the damage.
As the ‘cancelled’ champion, the re-released Aphelios has received quite a bit of positive feedback from the community. His ‘cancelled’ status was first introduced in April Fools’ Day’s Journal of Justice issue 18: Honoring Our Fallen Champion, and the Manatee has since gone on to become a mascot for the game. His appearances as the ‘cancelled’ champion have been widely received, with his emotes now appearing in the Journal of Justice.
Aphelios’s survivability
The biggest difference between Aphelios and Lee Sin is that Aphelios has far better damage output and can dish out damage from afar, but Lee Sin’s shields and ability to spin onto opponents give her incredible survivability. Combined with Lee Sin’s massive shields, Aphelios and Lee Sin are a fantastic urf duo.
Aphelios’s damage output
While Aphelios’s damage output was drastically reduced in patch 10.1, it has been restored in the patch 11.1 and beyond. He can now one-shot several enemies with his basic attacks, which was previously impossible. The damage increase is due to the passive he receives from all of his weapons, which now explains why all of his abilities work. His main hand weapon also shows how much ammo he has remaining.
The game allows Aphelios to swap between two weapons, her main hand and her off-hand. She can swap between these two weapons at will and has a cooldown of fifty seconds. Her main-hand weapon will always attack, but she can use her off-hand weapon to follow up. Each weapon has 50 ammo, so empty weapons will always be at the back of her line up to recharge.
Aphelios’s ghost
It’s unclear why Aphelios’ ghost has been removed from League of Legends, but the ‘cancelled’ champion is a recurring presence. In an April Fools’ Day joke, the character was introduced as a mascot. Since then, he has appeared on the game’s official website and made several appearances. The ghost is very powerful and carries a great deal of damage.
However, the legend behind this phantom appears to have a tragic past. While swimming along the Summoner’s Rift river, an eerie blue streak appeared from the jungle nearby. Though eyewitness accounts are not reliable, the ghost’s appearance in the game was an uncanny coincidence. As a result, the ghost is now only left with his skin.
