Xiphos of Dionysos
Despite the fact that it is a legendary weapon, the Xiphos of Dionyses is only available after you’ve played the game for a few hours. Its special engraving provides a significant boost to Assassin Damage and critical hits. It also increases your adrenaline gain from critical hits, and has a two percent chance to deal flat 25% damage. Obtaining this sword will reward you with the Dionysos Pack DLC.
The Xiphos of Dionyses is a powerful sword that can be used to defeat enemies with ease. Its special attacks and 20% additional damage are very effective in eliminating enemies. Its +25% CRIT Damage is great for Assassins and helps deal good damage with critical hits. You can also loot this weapon from Pausanias.
Polyphemos Cyclops Bludgeon
The best sword in Black Flag is the legendary Polyphemos Cyclops Blundgeon. This legendary weapon was deadly to all, but especially suited to Assassins. It was inspired by the French Voulge, a bladed polearm from the Middle Ages, and the Cursed Cyclopean Club. The working name for this sword was the Cursed Cyclops Bludgeon.
Rod of Asklepios
The Rod of Asclepios is an excellent choice for a black flag, as it represents the Greek god of medicine, Asclepius. The Greeks revered Asclepius as the god of medicine and ascribed healing powers to him. He was the son of Apollo and a mortal woman, Hygieia, and received his teachings from the centaur Chiron. The staff was coiled around a snake, which became the universal symbol of medicine.
The Rod of Asclepios is a legendary staff, whose engraving is unique to the player. It has a unique effect on assassins: it transforms CRIT Chances into Damage. As such, the sword is a great choice for one-man armies and is especially useful in the game’s ‘one-man-army’ missions. The Rod of Asclepios can be acquired by defeating Iokaste the Seer, a Cultist, in Episode 3 of the game’s Main Quest.
Asclepius’s rod is also known as the “Caduceus”. It was originally used to represent medicine, but it was only later that the rod was adopted as a medical emblem. In the late seventeenth century, the staff of Asclepius was incorporated into military symbols. It was used by the French and German armies, and the US Air Force adopted the symbol in 1868.
