If you’re looking to catch ice types, the best places to do so are in the pokewalker, the deep chasm, and legendary kyurem. Those are the elite four types of trainer Pokemon. If you’re not familiar with these four Pokemon, read on for tips on where to find them in Emerald. Here’s a look at each one’s movepool and where they’re located.

Regice

When you first get into Pokémon Emerald, you might be wondering where to find ice type pokemon. There are quite a few different options, so I’ve listed a few below. Regice is the tankiest Ice type, but you will need to learn TMs to make it work for you. Its best move is Ice Beam, and its stats are solid. It has excellent speed, HP, and defense. However, it can be quite a chore to get.

Shoal Cave is one place to find an Ice Type Pokemon. It is located north of Mossdeep City, on Route 125. The cave contains two types of wild Pokemon, Spheal and Snorunt. You can only access certain areas during high tide, so make sure you’re prepared for this. Ice Rock is also an excellent place to evolve Eevee. While you’re there, you’ll find an old man who can craft an item for you.

Articuno

As an ice-type Pokemon, Articuno can control icy elements at will. Its home is icy mountains riddled with permafrost. Its blue wings are said to be made of ice, and it glides over these mountains with its tail fluttering behind it. It can be used in competitive battling to outlast a faster opponent.

While most ice-type Pokemon are slow, Articuno is an exception, boasting the highest speed stat of any icy-type Pokemon. Unlike most of its ice-type counterparts, Articuno can move fast with its Special Moves, including Ice Beam, Double Team, and Substitute. While its primary role is to defend the Trainer, it also has special moves such as Ice Beam and Rest. Articuno is a symbol of Team Mystic, and it is a legendary Pokemon from the first generation of games.

Regice’s movepool

Regice is a large bipedal blue glacier-like Pokemon. Its entire body is made of ice. It has seven dots for a face, two arms made of ice with smaller ice crystals for fingers, and four spikes on its back. It’s a small legendary Pokemon, measuring only five feet and eleven inches tall. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have impressive stats.

Ice Beam is a great way to OHKO Celebi or Zapdos under sand. It can also weaken Flygon and Salamence. It can also hit Swampert and Tyranitar hard, putting them within the range of Earthquake, which can KO them. Regice can also Thunder Wave to disrupt the opponent’s moves and set up a slower sweeper with Paralysis support.

Mamoswine

Where can you find Mamoswine, an ice type pokemon in Emerald? It can be found south of the deep snow. West of Mamoswine is Calcium. It can be ridden with the Snow Cloak move. Mamoswine’s weakness to Electric is its main flaw, so you can use this move to counter that weakness. However, you’ll need to find it to learn it.

The Alpha version can be found in the Alabaster Icelands, Bonechill Wastes, and Avalanche Slope areas. This Pokemon evolves into Piloswine at level 33. You can also find a Mamoswine in Sword and Shield. Mamoswine can also be found in Pokemon Legends. Those who are not familiar with the ice type pokemon can use their namesake Moo to name them.

Weavile

If you’re looking for a new Pokemon to add to your collection, you might be wondering where to find Ice type Pokemon in Emerald. They’re available late in the game, in the Shoal Cave in the north of Mossdeep. While these Pokemon are difficult to find, they’re still a good option for building a glass cannon build. There are many Ice types in Gen 3 and Gen 6 remakes, and you can even find an Ice-type in Froslass. This Pokemon is very strong against Ice and Rock types, but is vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground types.

The best Ice Pokemon in the game are Walrein and Azumarill. While these Pokemon are both strong, they’re not particularly good at anything else. As the most common Ice Pokemon in Emerald, Walrein has the highest base stat total. If you’re looking for a good Ice pokemon, Azumarill is the better choice, though it does not have the highest speed. You can also catch Marill before you beat the first gym.
