How Much Does Rangefinder Increase Range?

A rangefinder is an important hunting tool, but how much does it increase range? Most hunters cannot legally take a shot beyond a distance of 500 yards, and even the best ones are limited to 1,000 yards by ballistics. Using a range finder, however, will give you an idea of how far you need to be in order to make the shot. You can use the distance to plan your shot and prepare for it in advance.

Zoomed-in range

There are several different ways to increase the rangefinder’s zoom function. Some have more zoom than others. In other cases, a higher zoom level can result in a shorter rangefinder’s target area. However, you can usually increase the zoom without changing the rangefinder’s accuracy. Aside from that, using a zoomed-in range can improve your Sentinel weapon’s range as well.

Other rangefinder features include tru-target technology, which allows you to select first or distant target priority. The latter mode gives you the distance of the farthest target, while the first mode lets you focus on objects nearer to you. Some models also feature continuous measurement functions. The prisms themselves are made from plastic and have a multilayer coating on their surfaces. One such rangefinder features a maximum reflective range of 1,000 yards.
