Elder Ring Duel Wise – How to Duel Wise in the Elden Ring

If you’ve played any of the Souls games, you may have already mastered the basics of dual-wielding. This game lets you use two hands to wield the majority of melee weapons, and while you can develop your own style, you can also adopt the techniques of other players to dominate the game. This article will go over the advantages and limitations of each style and give you an idea of how you can best use it in the Elden Ring.

Moonveil Katana

While Moonveil Katana was nerfed since the game’s release, it’s still an excellent Elden Ring weapon. It is a good choice for speedrunning, blending bosses quickly, and dealing massive amounts of damage with its Transient Moonlight skill. The weapon also has some great skills for PvP players, such as blocking and interrupting most of the enemy’s casting animations.

While a singular weapon may not be a big deal in PvP, Invading a party with three others with six Katanas can be annoying. Invading players spam their WA’s, and they act superior even when they lose. The Moonveil Katana is currently the only viable counter to Carial Retaliation, and it’s one of the most important aspects of this class.

If you want to get Moonveil Katana early in Elden Ring, make sure to get the right stats. First, you’ll need to beat a boss. Then, you can use your new sword to fight Magma Wyrm, which is the final boss in Caelid. You should use the katana and a magic spell to kill Magma Wyrm and obtain the ring.

Erdtree’s Favor

If you play melee and are looking for a duel-wielding talisman, you should try Erdtree’s Favor. This talisman increases maximum health, stamina, and equip load. In addition, it makes it easier to equip multiple pieces of gear at once. To obtain this talisman, you can visit Leyndell and the Ashen Capital.

While its spiritual predecessor, Erdtree’s Favor, also increases maximum HP and stamina, this talisman increases the amount of equip load and the maximum health of the character. While the buffs aren’t as great as the ones offered by Ring of Favor or Protection, the talisman has some universal benefits that are useful across the Elden Ring. The biggest benefit of Erdtree’s Favor is that it gives you a boost to total HP and stamina, making it an excellent choice for players with low-level characters.

Prosthesis Wearer Heirloom

The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom is a talisman that increases total Dexterity by five points. If you’re considering a build that makes use of dexterity, you should get this ring to increase your Dexterity. But how do you get the talisman? You can acquire it by completing early questlines and interacting with NPCs.

The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom is obtained through a sidequest, which requires you to talk to Gowry or Millicent. It increases Dexterity and has a passive blood loss buildup. You can also get Flock’s Canvas Talisman if you kill Gowry while he is crying. This greatly increases the potency of Incantations.

Falchions

In Elder Ring, dual wielding is a common technique for combat. Dueling with two weapons gives you two different combinations of attacks. The attack types depend on the weapon you choose, but the tradeoff is increased damage. This technique is often preferred over dual-wielding because it gives you a wider variety of available ammunition and increases your chance to win. However, it can also leave you wide open to attack if you’re not careful.

The Falchion is a curved sword that scales with Dexterity and Strength. It’s best for clearing out small groups of enemies, but it’s not as effective against thick armor. You’ll use spinning motions to strike your opponents with this melee weapon. A good place to farm a Falchion is under a huge ruin, north of Mistwood Outskirts Grace.
