How to Backup Sims 3

There are several ways to backup your Sims 3 game. You can export your content to another computer, export your Savegames, and create a new game if you want to transfer them to a new computer. However, you should first learn how to backup your Sims 3 game. Read on to find out how to do all of these tasks. And don’t forget to organize your backups to make the most of them.

Savegames

If you want to back up your Sims 3 savegames, you have to follow a few simple steps. The first step is to make sure that your storage device is free of unused files. The file size can range anywhere from 20MB to over 1GB. You should also make sure that you have plenty of space available on your hard drive. After that, you can simply rename the backup folder.

The library folder is where you save all your saved houses, lots, and Sims. If you haven’t installed any expansion packs yet, you won’t see any of these folders. In addition to this, you should also backup any important Sims to avoid losing them. Another folder that stores saved creations is Screenshots & Recorded Videos. Make sure you back up these folders regularly.

Creating a new game

If you’re planning to start a new game, it’s important to back up your Sims 3 save files before starting it. To do this, get an external hard disk and copy the entire Documents folder onto it. After that, you’ll want to uninstall Sims 3 and reinstall it from the game disk. Once you’re ready to start playing, simply copy the backup into the Documents/Electronic Arts folder and replace the Sims 3 folder with the new one.

This method backs up all your saved games, but it won’t back up the core game files. Custom graphics rules settings and Allmenus cheat settings are not backed up. This method also takes up the most space. To back up your Sims 3 saves, first open Documents, and then navigate to the “The Sims 3” folder. In this folder, you’ll find screenshots, save games, and other things related to the Sims 3.

Creating a new game on a new computer

If you’ve recently bought a new computer and your Sims 3 game is still on the old one, you can easily transfer it to the new one. You’ll find the files you need in the Documents folder. You can also find these files under Electronic Arts – The Sims 3 – Saves. After copying the files over, install them on the new PC.

If you’re unsure how to transfer your game, you can also download a replacement version, called Mod The Sims. This is available for FreeTime and University and can be updated to the newest versions. The game is now compatible with more computers than ever, and the computer you choose will reflect the real thing more closely. If you’re not comfortable with changing the settings on your old computer, you can always download the game again from the official website.

Exporting content

If you want to transfer the content from one computer to another, you can use the “Sims 4 Tray Importer” program. Sims 4 files are interchangeable between PCs and Macs, and folder locations are the same. After exporting your content, make sure to check the contents of the new computer. If they do not match, you may need to remove the file from your old computer. To do this, follow these steps.

The first step in exporting content from Sims 3 is to change the appearance of your Sims. To do this, you must first turn on testing cheats enabled, and then open the CAS. Click the “Edit” button on the CAS screen, and then select the portrait icon on the left of the Accept and Cancel buttons. If the portrait icon is not visible, it is blank. Once you’ve saved the content, you can upload it to a website or share it with friends.
