Anakin Skywalker
The character of Anakin Skywalker is present in many ways in the new Star Wars movie. He is the original Chosen One, the Balancer of the Force, and a Jedi who trained under Obi-Wan Kenobi. He also had a leading role in the Clone Wars series and was manipulated by Padme and Palpatine. Whether his character will survive or not is up to interpretation, but he will definitely play an important part in the plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Interestingly, some fans believe that the second Anakin will have a lower midi-chlorian count than the first, so the Force would know the difference between the two. There would also be two Anakins in the film, and the rumor is true. And the speculation doesn’t end there; the real Anakin will appear in The Clone Wars, while the fake one will be absent in the new film.
BB-8
BB-8 is a loyal astromech that accompanied Resistance pilot Poe Dameron on many missions and helped keep his X-wing running smoothly. He eventually fled to the desert with a clue that will lead the Resistance to the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. Ultimately, BB-8 will become one of the most beloved characters in the new film. But how did BB-8 become so popular?
BB-8, the astromech droid that belongs to Resistance pilot Poe Dameron, is the main antagonist of the film, but the droid will also make an appearance in the sequels The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. BB-8 is one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe, and his first appearance in the new movie is a major milestone. While the film is still very much in development, we know a lot about the BB-8 we see in Episode VII.
Darth Maul
After the events of Episode VI: A New Hope, Maul returns in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where he once again battles the Jedi. He is a savage and ruthless assassin who has a penchant for destroying life, and he is now ready to make Anakin Skywalker pay for his sins. His plan to make Anakin Skywalker die is a trap, however. In order to attract Anakin Skywalker, Maul kidnaps CT-5597, a droid who serves as his bodyguard.
His role in The Force Awakens is limited compared to that of his predecessor, Darth Vader. Although he only has 15 minutes of screen time, his presence has set the tone for the next generation of Star Wars baddies. Other new baddies introduced in The Force Awakens include Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma. Whether or not Maul will live up to expectations is yet to be seen.
Inquisitor
If you’ve been following the Star Wars films for any length of time, you’re probably aware of the Inquisitor. These Imperial soldiers, who serve under the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader, have a special place in the Empire. Their ultimate fates are largely determined by the actions of the Jedi. But how does an Inquisitor function in Star Wars The Force Awakens?
The Inquisitor is a dark side user who hunts Jedi across the galaxy. They often conscript young Force sensitives. Their standing orders require them to eliminate Jedi on sight. In the first Star Wars movie, the Inquisition was led by a Grand Inquisitor who reported directly to Darth Vader. However, after Kanan Jarrus killed the Grand Inquisitor, Vader took control of the Inquisition.
Stormtrooper
If you’ve seen the movie, you know that the first character the audience meets is a stormtrooper. Finn, who has been a Stormtrooper since the Empire’s fall, is rescued by Finn from the First Order. Despite being a member of the first Order, Finn is still shaken after witnessing the death of one of his fellow fighters. As the movie progresses, we see that the Stormtrooper’s mask has been emblazoned with his blood.
The Stormtrooper is an elite military unit that carries a weapon called a grenade. The grenade launcher that a Stormtrooper uses is called a TD-787. They were responsible for the first Death Star and were the chief protectors of Emperor Palpatine. They have a unique ability to duel, so Stormtroopers can do so in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
R2-D2
The astromech droid R2-D2 made an impact on the movie when it rescued its masters, Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker. It was a brave astromech droid who displayed great bravery in rescuing his masters. You will be inspired by the bravery of this resourceful droid in the upcoming film.
While R2-D2 is present in the film, BB-8 takes center stage and does not become an enemy. Although both robots have some physical similarities, their roles in The Force Awakens are nearly identical. Nevertheless, BB-8’s role in the movie is not the same as in A New Hope. The droid will continue to play a role in Luke Skywalker’s future.
