World of Warcraft Item Comparison Made Easy

If you’re like me and find World of Warcraft item comparison tedious, consider using EquipCompare. The app adds comparison tooltips to the items on your loot window, reward pages, and chat box. Then, you can use the comparison to make better decisions on which items you should use or sell. There are no special skills needed to use EquipCompare. And if you’re still not convinced, just read on.

EquipCompare

The EquipCompare world of warcraft addon lets you compare items in your inventory using their respective attributes. The addon has an integrated console command and runs it when you hover over an item. This allows you to see how many other items are equipped to a given item. The tooltips display a comparison of the two items. You can also toggle the mode by using the Control key to toggle the comparison tooltips on and off.

To make the tooltips more readable, EquipCompare registers a few objects, such as the GameTooltip, ItemRefTooltip, and LootlinkTooltip. Then, if you change the tooltip object, you need to unregister it. You can also choose the “exclusion pattern” when you’re logged out. If you’re using the AddOn with several accounts, you can choose a different tooltip display mode.

Sky

If you’re looking to compare items in World of Warcraft, you can find out exactly how much each item is worth with the EquipCompare addon. This pure and standalone addon will give you the comparison tooltips for any item on your character, including those that are not equipped to be used in combat. You can toggle the addon on and off in the Cosmos configuration menu, and your selections will be saved per character. The EquipCompare add-on is also compatible with patch 4.0.1, but you need to be sure to have a version that works with the game.

Configuration options

Changing your key mapping in World of Warcraft will affect the compare function. If you don’t like the default keys in the game, you can switch them to suit your preference. You can also disable the compare feature in World of Warcraft by pressing shift in the game’s console. If you use the compare feature frequently, disable this key mapping. This will prevent the compare function from breaking. However, you will still need to change it from time to time if you find it difficult to perform tasks.

There are several configuration options for the Compare feature. Toggling on or off is the most common option. Toggling on and off the feature requires pressing “/equipcompare”. The Control key mode is another option to toggle the comparison tooltips. Holding the Control key will make the comparison tooltips appear higher. The default options will save your settings when you switch between configurations.

Patches

If you have a large World of Warcraft inventory, the task of choosing an item can become overwhelming. To make the task easier, the game provides a shift compares feature. With this feature, you can compare two items side by side and see what benefits they offer. For example, a weapon has many benefits that armor does not, and the latter is a better choice for raids. The /simc command will bring up the artifact page. Then, simply paste a second actor underneath the first one. Rename the “mage” name to make it more readable. Once you’ve copied and pasted, you can see how each weapon compares with each other.

One thing to keep in mind is that the compare feature can get disabled if an overlay is present. This can be a problem if the overlay has a shift feature. If this happens, the compare feature will use this feature. Fortunately, there is an easy solution for this problem – simply disable the overlay. In addition, if you want to compare two World of Warcraft items side by side, you can also view the item’s properties in another window.

Rarity

A great tool to make tracking the rarity of World of Warcraft items easier is Rarity. The program tracks your items and can be configured to include additional information such as level requirements. The original algorithms were developed by Bunny Hunter, and you can read about them in his article on the subject. While Rarity does not increase your chance of obtaining an item, it can be a good way to know how much luck you have had so far. It also helps to keep track of your progress by reminding you to run daily quests or holiday dungeons.

Another item that is highly sought-after is the Haunted Memento, a rare toy that summons an undead friend. The item was first introduced during the launch event of Wrath of the Lich King in 2009, but the Scourge quickly destroyed Azeroth and people immediately forgot about it. It now sells for hundreds of thousands of gold on the auction house. You may be wondering how the heck you can obtain this item – well, unless you have plenty of money and time to spend on grinding.

All the Things mod

If you’re one of the many World of Warcraft collectors out there, you may be interested in the All the Things mod. It keeps track of all the items you’ve obtained in-game, including appearances, illusions, mounts, pets, toys, and music rolls. It even lists the items that you still need to collect, including rares and quest items. This mod is free and can be downloaded and installed manually.
