The team must save him before it is too late. And it isn’t just the Rebels who are under threat, but the Empire, as well.

The Rebels’ fleet is hampered by a tighter and more powerful Empire blockade, forcing the young group to seek out another route to escape. But after several false starts, they finally find a way out. They use sensor beacons to ward off the threatening Inquisitors. And, when they find a way to escape, they head back to Malachor to face the Inquisitors there.

Characters

The new cast of characters is already bringing in some familiar faces from the original trilogy. Darth Maul is confirmed to make his return in Star Wars Rebels season three, as is the character of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn was a fan favorite in the Timothy Zahn novels and made his first appearance on screen in the new season. He is a ruthless and intelligent non-human who lacks the authority he needs in the human first, humans-only military of Emperor Palpatine. His voice is provided by Tom Baker, a Doctor Who legend. In Star Wars Rebels, Bendu is a guiding force for Kanan and guides him throughout the season.

Other notable new characters from the new season include Sabine, who goes undercover to the Imperial Skystrike Academy to help a pair of defectors, Wedge and Hobbie. The episode is connected to the original trilogy of movies, though there are some differences between the two stories. While Wedge is a major character, his backstory has not been fully explored in the previous season. But his appearance in the season will allow fans to learn more about his character. He will face his past in a tangible way, and Ezra will try to bring him to the rebel base.

Storyline

In Season 3 of the new show, “Star Wars Rebels,” the crew of the Ghost is sent on a mission to find a mysterious droid known as Hondo. Hondo has promised to deliver a proton bomb to the Rebels in exchange for his help. The team soon discovers that the droid is the Fifth Brother and that his cargo contains a valuable weapon known as the Force. They load it onto the Ghost and escape when the Imperial Sentry droids attack and capture them.

Later, the crew of the Ghost is contacted by the Grand Moff Tarkin and is given information about the Rebel fleet. After the news reaches him, the Rebels prepare to attack the communications tower of the Imperial Empire. However, the Rebels have to deal with the Inquisitors before they can take control of the planet. The Rebels then use a sensor beacon to prevent the Inquisitors from intercepting the fleet.
