Are There AI Enemies in Space Engineers?

When playing as a space engineer, you’ll want to be aware of AI enemies. While they are not always hostile, the ones in Argentavis II are very active. If you happen to get on one of these ships, it’s a good idea to plant a single terminal object so that it can be claimed by you. Otherwise, beware of its turrets, which will shoot anything in range.

Animated Interactions mod

If you want to make Space Engineers more realistic and immersive, you should install the Animated Interactions mod. This mod adds animations to every single action a player takes. It also makes the game much easier to control, as it removes a lot of tedious motion from your gameplay. If you’re a control freak, you might also want to try the Air Leak Tracker mod, which lets you view block animations and give you more information about them.

The Animated Interactions mod for Space Engineerings also adds more NPC encounters. For instance, the game’s default HUD is blue and can get quite dull after a few hours. With this mod, the HUD will be colorful. Another great mod created by Skinface is the Better Stone. This mod also adds more space pirates and better cloakability features.

Ship AI Voice Basic mod

This mod adds dozens of new voices to Space Engineers. Developed by Cogwings, this mod reacts to player actions and provides the sound of a number of different ships. As the mod is successful, more sounds will be added. For example, it includes the voice of a female ship whose captain is about to make the infamous “Are you a nanite?” call.

Smart Turrets mod

While many people argue that Space Engineers isn’t challenging enough for AI to play, others argue that it has the right amount of busywork. The busywork is a great way to relax, but not everyone has the time or patience to devote to a lengthy project. The game’s AI-based turrets, which can be programmed to do a variety of tasks, can help fill the void.

DeepOres mod

If you’ve ever played Space Engineers, you know that the skybox doesn’t look very realistic. You can use a mod called “Space Just Got Real”, which replaces the skybox’s color with the deep black of space. The mod was created by Dr. Novikov and allows you to find a large variety of different ores, including magnesium and oxygen. Here’s what it looks like.

The mod adds tons of new ores to the game. It also tries to make mining more realistic by spawning them in big clumps of various ores. This saves you from the time and effort of hunting for specific ores. It also provides new parts for mining your spacecraft. This way, you won’t have to worry about missing anything. If you’re bored with your vanilla Space Engineers game, try this mod out.
