Nidoking is a drill Pokemon. Its rock-hard hide, long horn and thick, sticky tail distinguish it from other drill Pokemon. While the horn contains venom, the tail snaps telephone poles and renders the victim helpless. When charged, it will attack foes with a variety of attacks. Among these moves is Ice Punch, Rock Slide, Shadow Ball and Ice Beam.

Ice Punch

The physical moveset is one of the best options for Nidoking. Ice Punch’s high base damage and KO potential make it an excellent choice against many types. Depending on your type, you can also try using Rock Slide against the rival. This moveset will 2HKO Pidgeotto, and you can also use Thunderbolt against Gyarados if you use Rock Slide. Then, use Ice Beam against the Pokemon with Confusion, and Thunderbolt on the Gyarados.
