Many players want to be the strongest possible race for their class, and they’ll look to a specific race to provide extra utility and DPS. While extra DPS can be helpful, the gains may only be 1% of the total, and the utility options may even be more valuable. While Warcraftlog rankings can help you determine the best race for your character, the best choice is often based on personal preference.

Dwarf
If you’re looking for a new rogue race in World of Warcraft, the Dwarf may be the right choice for you. The Dwarf race has several advantages. For example, the Dwarf has a high base Stamina and Strength, but a low Agility. In addition to that, Dwarfs are excellent Priests.
If you’re interested in world PvP or solo duels, the Dwarf is the best race for you. This race has excellent resistances to Frost and Ice and Stoneform, and its ability to dispel status effects such as Blind, Warrior Bleeds, and Devouring Plague. It also has Vanish, which allows you to disappear and not be seen.
Human
While a Rogue can be a versatile class with the right gear, Humans are one of the most underrated races in World of Warcraft. This is due to their lack of offensive DPS, but a few key traits make them the best choice for PvE play. Humans can benefit from 2% mana regen from Spirit and a stealth detection tool in Perception. Furthermore, their unique skill Haemorrhage can drain their opponent’s Mana.
As far as combat rogues go, the Human is by far the strongest choice for Alliance players. A Human Rogue will gain 3 expertise from swords and maces, compared to five expertise for other races. Though this may be less than optimal, it allows a Rogue to select weapons more easily. And because of its Every Man for Himself ability, Human rogues will be less susceptible to crowd-controlling abilities.
Gnome
There are many reasons to choose the Gnome as the race for your rogue. They are small, have good PvP and PvE gear, and look ridiculous, but they are also very effective in both PvP and PvE. For example, they can get better drops than Taurens because they are so small. And even though they look silly, they are very effective at controlling massive demons.
One of the best things about gnomes is that they are masters of escape, which is a great tool for PvP. They can shift into the void realm and reappearance behind the target, which drastically reduces CC taken. They also have cool animations and look classy when using their finishing moves. In Classic, Humans and Orcs are the best races for rogues, but a gnome has a distinct advantage.
Night Elf
If you’re looking for a great race for your rogue, look no further than the Night Elves. These ancient, magical beings have been inhabiting the world of Azeroth for thousands of years. They were the first race to plant the world tree Teldrassil, which later became the capital of Darnassus. Rogue class builds are centered on night elves and begin in Teldrassil. You can obtain a great nightsaber at Lelanai and purchase a rogue Rook Hawkfist from Argent Tournament. The Night Elves’ nature makes them ideal for PvP, as their ability to blend with shadows reduces their vulnerability to enemy detection.
While Night Elves are known for their racial bonuses, they also come with a disproportionate number of flaws. Most players feel Night Elves are overpowered, especially against Horde characters. But Night Elves have a lot to offer, including a passive ability called Quickness that grants 2% extra movement speed. Another notable benefit is their Dodge Chance, which allows them to dodge and avoid damaging attacks with the maximum of their Dodge stats.
Undead
There are seven races available for the rogue class in World of Warcraft. The best races for the Horde are the Dwarf, Human, Orc, and Undead. Considering the playstyle of a rogue, the Human race seems like the most natural choice. However, you can choose a different race if you’d like to focus on PVP.
The Will of the Forsaken is a powerful PvP ability. Undead rogues are great at stuning and healing enemies for CC. Troll Hunters provide the Horde’s answer to the Alliance’s Dwarf Hunter. They also bring Bow Specialization to the table. However, undead rogues aren’t as versatile as the Troll Hunter.
