Joining a free company
FFXIV offers a variety of benefits for players, including joining a Free Company (referred to as a “FC” in-game) and fostering a social community similar to The Novice Network. It also lets players sell items when visiting another world. Free Companies are non-renewable, so once you join them you can’t leave them. There are certain requirements, however, that you should be aware of.
Before starting your Free Company, you must first join one of the Grand Companies. You can do this by talking to the OIC Administrator NPC in the Grand Company. You will then be given the option of starting your own Free Company. The name of your Free Company must be between three and 20 characters. Choose a name carefully, as it is your company’s name and tag will be displayed next to other players’ names.
Free Companies are player-run organizations and are limited to one per player. The Master of a Free Company can create multiple Free Companies and can change permissions for each rank. New members will automatically be assigned a rank of Member and cannot change their ranks. Rank two allows players to choose their Company’s name. Rank three grants the ability to create a Company Crest and add 2 more chests to the Company’s Coffers.
Leveling up a free company
A Free Company (commonly abbreviated as “FC”) is a way to level up a character. Unlike normal companies, where a single member can easily level up without any help, a Free Company has ranks, and there are many ways to level up a Free Company. One of the best ways to level up a Free Company is by taking up quests. There are plenty of quests to take on, including ones that require killing a specific number of enemies. These quests give a huge boost to EXP, and you can do them with little effort.
To level up a Free Company, first of all, you must pay the fee and create three signatures. Once you have done that, you can choose a name for your Free Company. Free Company names can be three to twenty alphanumeric characters, including spaces. The name must be unique and preferably descriptive, because it’ll become more famous in the game. When you level up your Free Company, you earn FC credits, which you can spend on buying items.
To create a Free Company, you need to be at least Level 25 and have completed the Main Story Questline. You’ll also need to gather 15000 Gil before you can make your new company. Then, you’ll need to approach the OIC administrator of your Grand Company to get a petition. Then, you’ll have to wait for 24 hours. There is a lot more to leveling up a Free Company than it looks.
Changing a free company’s name
If you’ve started a Free Company, you probably don’t want to change its name right away, but it’s possible to change it later. First, you need to decide why you want to change it. Perhaps it’s outdated, confusing, or you’re looking to expand your business into new markets. Secondly, you may want to create a transitional logo for your company and let all of your current customers and vendors know that you’re changing your company name.
When you want to change your Free Company name, you should first think of a tag that describes you and your company. You can change it later if you wish, but the tag must be at least five characters long. To change your Free Company name, talk to the OIC Administrator in any of the three City-States to obtain it. You can also change your Free Company’s tag, which is displayed above your character’s name.
