Can you regenerate tokens? This is a fun mechanic to play with. Regeneration does not regenerate creatures with zero toughness. Regenerated creatures don’t apply ETB effects. These creatures can also be used for tokens. Unlike destroyed tokens, these creatures don’t simply disappear into thin air. They remain safe from harm and don’t become nothing. Enchantments, equipment, and counters aren’t removed from regenerated creatures.

Regeneration isn’t an invincible ability
There are five propositions required for regeneration to be effective. A creature cannot regenerate itself; regeneration must be cast before it is destroyed. A creature with regeneration will not die; when it is destroyed, all damage dealt to it will be removed. After regeneration, the creature will be tapped and removed from combat. Its regenerated state will not apply any ETB effects. A creature that regenerates will not be defiled, nor will its equipment and counters be removed from its hand.
Regeneration has a few limitations. First of all, it’s impossible for a creature destroyed by an attack to regenerate. In fact, it’s already dead. Also, regeneration must occur before lethal damage is dealt to the creature. Once the condition is met, regeneration will be granted. Once it’s granted, it’ll wait for the conditional event to pass before replacing a creature destroyed by lethal damage.
It can’t regenerate creatures with zero toughness
Regeneration prevents a creature from dying, but only if the effect specifically says “destroy.” Likewise, it doesn’t protect a creature from damage equal to its toughness. Similarly, regeneration doesn’t prevent a creature from being exiled or “removed from the game.” In that case, regeneration can’t save the creature. So, if you’re trying to protect a creature with zero toughness, it’s better to get another one.
When you play this ability, you’re essentially regenerating a creature without any effect. This ability can be powerful, but it has its limitations. First of all, it won’t protect your creatures from board wipes, such as Wrath of God or Terminus. In addition, if a creature is sacrificed, it isn’t actually destroyed, but simply moved to the graveyard. Regenerate won’t work on creatures that have no toughness or fewer than two.
It triggers ETB abilities
Its ability to regenerate tokens is triggered by the card ‘It triggers ETB abilities to regenerate token’. It does so by putting counters on each creature that enters play when that ability resolves. The Umara Raptor enters the battlefield as a 1/1 creature. This can help you build your combo, since it can reanimate the creatures in your graveyard – a rare creature!
