It’s helpful to take note of the various items that each level of Mythic Plus dungeon gives you and how to use them to your advantage.
Getting a Mythic Keystone
When playing the game, one of the best ways to get a Mythic Keystone for Shadowlanders is to complete a Mythic+ dungeon as quickly as possible. This can be done by completing Mythic+ dungeons within a set time limit. If you complete Mythic+ dungeons faster, you can upgrade your Keystone by an additional level. The keystone will be uncapped after the first week, and your loot will reflect your attempts in the week of December 8th.
During the first phase of this quest, you must kill the relics in order to get the buff. The buffs given to you will depend on the relic that you destroy first. Once you’ve destroyed a relic, you’ll face a miniboss that will grant you a buff. During the first phase, group composition barely matters. A group should have a tank, a healer, and at least three DPS. A multi-tank strategy is not viable at this stage.
Running Mythic Plus dungeons
If you have more than two friends, you can run Mythic Plus dungeons multiple times each week. This is particularly useful in Mythic+ content, because the items you can get from them are more powerful and scale up with your Mythic Plus level. Additionally, running Mythic+ dungeons more than once a week means that you’ll never run out of items.
Before running Mythic Plus dungeons, it’s best to know what you’re getting into, including affixes and boss fights. Generally, it takes about an hour to complete a dungeon on Mythic+, so make sure you’re prepared to dedicate a few hours to the dungeon. Also, don’t quit too early – you won’t be able to replace a party member mid-dungeon, and quitting prematurely is simply rude. Lastly, running Mythic+ dungeons multiple times is a great way to gain experience and level up your character.
If you’re a Mythic+ class, you can run Mythic Plus dungeons multiple times a week, as long as you’re not in the middle of a quest. In addition, you can use the same Mythic Keystone for each run, which means you can use the same ten-level dilo as many times as you want. You’ll also get better item level gear.
Loot drops after completion
The difficulty of dungeons plays a big role in how much loot is dropped. While a normal dungeon is an unlimited amount of times that you can raid it, mythic+ dungeons have different rules. Some can be re-run unlimited times, while others require the use of a keystone to unlock them. You are also limited to running a mythic dungeon every ten hours, which makes them much more difficult.
Mythic+ dungeons are not a one-time-use dungeon, since the timers reset every week. Each time you run one, you’ll gain a new keystone with a higher level. This is called a “Keystone.” It can be obtained through the Great Vault, which is located in Oribos. Weekly vault keys are based on the highest dungeon run. Weekly vault keys are available the following day and contain gear with item levels depending on which dungeon you’ve beaten.
