In Corruption, you can avoid the first three stages of the fight by avoiding the spawns and then destroying the three amalgamations that surround the deathwing. To avoid an instant encounter failure, stand in Grasping Tendril and kill the Corrupted Blood oozes as they come near the spine. If you’re unable to kill them all, you can try to kill as many as possible in one clump near the spine.

Lockout
The question often asked is, can you skip Spine of Deathwing? It is a tedious fight that requires you to keep the mechanics of Deathwing in check. The encounter takes around 4 minutes to complete, so it is important to follow these mechanics carefully. Using a DBM will be very helpful in tracking Deathwing’s roll and avoiding instant failure. You will need to use the DBM and Cataclysm boss modules to do this.
The best way to do this is to kite over the mobs and clear them off the back of Deathwing. If you are kiting over the mobs, you will need to use your AoE stun. Then, make use of the Corruption spell to fill up the deathwing’s back with blood. If the bloods are slow, you may need to kite over them several times.
Nuclear Blast
The nuclear blast is a sandbox skill. You can skip the first stage of this boss by using this ability. You need to be at least 10 yards away from the boss to use it, because the Burning Tendons are extremely easy to kill. However, the Nuclear Blast is very effective in tearing up the Deathwing’s Elementium plates. This ability is best used when you’re near deathwings and they’re about 10 yards away from your tank.
During the Firelands raid, you can do this solo as well. The boss isn’t difficult in 10 or 25 player modes, but it’s challenging when you’re on your own. Nuclear Blast breaks armor plates. After a group of nine Corrupted Bloods, you’ll be able to kill the Amalgamations that will spawn and cause the Nuclear Blast. The Amalgamations will drag you through the debris left behind by the Bloods. The Amalgamations will then tear your armor plate.
Grasping Tendons
Grasping Tendons are an extremely effective way to get around the Spine of Deathwing, allowing you to skip the back section of the boss. These enemies are arranged in a loose manner from north to south. The enemies are hard to kill in a single exposed tendon phase, so you will need to be doing a high DPS during both of the burn phases. When you kill the third tendon, you will automatically be ported to the Madness of Deathwing.
Using this ability, you can easily get past the spine and move to the next part, the Heroic Madness. The first part of the quest is easy and requires AFK on the tendril. The second part is getting past 25H ultraxion. Grasping Tendons is also an excellent way to get past this boss in Heroic mode. Once you’ve got the proper gear, you can easily go ahead and finish the quest.
Corrupted Bloods
Luckily, there are ways to skip the Spine of Deathwing. First, you must destroy three Corruption tentacles, then roll to remove the spawned amalgamations. If you stand in Grasping Tendril during the roll, you’ll avoid instant failure. If you don’t, you’ll fail the encounter. If you want to save time, use a DBM or Cataclysm boss module.
If you’re using a combo involving Absorb Blood, you can easily take out nine of Deathwing’s corruptions before they fall off. You can also heal them using the congealing blood. Just remember to stay in place during the roll, because the Tendrils will shoot out blood every half a second. But, if you can’t kill the Tendrils, you can kill the Hideous Amalgamation by standing in a location outside the Tentacles’ range.
Interacting with Deathwing
The newest hero in Heroes of the Storm, Deathwing, is designed to feel like the final boss of a raid. His unique abilities and playstyle make him very different from the rest of the current hero roster. His massive hero radius means he separates his opponents and space out his own team. The game’s positioning mechanics change to suit Deathwing’s strengths and weaknesses. The following are some of the best ways to interact with this new hero.
For most of the game, Deathwing runs smoothly. However, it occasionally hangs when there are a lot of enemies on the screen. Luckily, the hangs are only half a second long, which do not affect the overall experience. Additionally, the frame rate can drop from time to time, and distant rooms pop together as they load. But despite these issues, Deathwing is very playable and generally has a positive effect on the overall game.
