Characters
There are several important characters in the Star Wars universe. Anakin Skywalker is one of them. Born on the planet Tatooine, he grew up to become a hero of the Rebellion. From being a young, eager Jedi in Empire Strikes Back, to becoming a wise and powerful leader in Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker is a great character to watch. His character highlights the importance of belief in light, as he refuses to be tempted by Palpatine on the second Death Star and successfully turns his father to the light side.
R2-D2 is perhaps the most underappreciated character of the entire franchise. He appears in all eight films and only gets a short break in Rogue One. Despite his lack of spoken dialogue, R2-D2 is one of the most recognizable characters in the entire saga. While R2-D2 doesn’t have much speech, he provides much of the humour in the original trilogy and is an icon in the fan community.
Jobs
While we may never need to work in the Star Wars universe, there are plenty of jobs available. Some jobs are purely for personal enrichment while others are more high-profile, like being a bounty hunter. And of course, we can’t forget the Jedi, who are known to sabotage other spacers. But what about those jobs that are worth the sacrifice? How can you ever live up to the demands of such a job?
Demeanor
The character Darth Vader is a classic example of a character with a D style. He does not tolerate failure and has a definite disturbance in his “personal force” when his orders aren’t carried out. Other Star Wars characters also exhibit a D style. Princess Leia is a D style character, and Anakin Skywalker has the same style. Similarly, Luke Skywalker is a D style character.
Career path
Throughout the Star Wars universe, you’ll encounter many careers. These jobs are generally grouped according to the general approach they represent to life. Some emphasize physical conflict, while others focus on knowledge or social manipulation. Others are associated with the Force, or working on the outer rim of the galaxy. There are even careers that will suit people with a unique personality, such as a Jedi. There’s also a Career Path for every type of personality.
The Force is a powerful weapon, and the careers associated with this powerful tool will vary between different characters. A Jedi, for instance, can use the Force to heal people. Healer, Niman Disciple, and Sage are all available specializations for this role. A Guardian, on the other hand, can become a Peacekeeper, Protector, or Soresu Defender. Other specializations in the Guardian branch of the Star Wars universe include Armorer, Warden, and Warleader.
Job title
The galaxy has plenty of jobs to fill, and the universe of Star Wars is no different. In addition to smugglers and Jedi, astromech droids have their own unique job titles. An astromech droid is best known for helping Princess Leia during her most desperate hour by smuggling the plans for the Death Star to Alderaan and Yavin IV. An astromech droid’s first job is mechanic, and perhaps its most important one was fixing the shuttle of Queen Amidala during her escape from Naboo. Another role was mechanic to two generations of Skywalkers.
Filoni has also been given additional responsibilities at Lucasfilm, and his new role will likely help shape future Star Wars films and television shows. While the update will likely have a minimal impact on mainline Star Wars properties, Filoni’s new role will likely give him more power over the projects he works on. The company is best served if promising employees stay around. And retaining them will only benefit Lucasfilm and its loyal fans.
