Defeating Yhorm the Giant will fast travel you back to the church at the bottom of High Wall of Lothric
Defeating Yhorm will give you a chance to get a bonus item, the Cinders of a Lord. After defeating Yhorm, you will also get the Soul of Yhorm the Giant. Defeating this monster will also trigger the next boss battle. The next boss is Dancer of the Boreal Valley. You can find him at the top of a ladder in the Basin of Vows. Defeating him will also fast travel you back to the church at the bottom of High Wall of Lothric.
Defeating Yhorm is not difficult. Just remember to use your Storm Ruler to deal maximum damage. Using this weapon will also help you get a boost when attacking. Be sure to use the ability between each attack. When he charges, you will deal more damage. Make sure to get behind him or between his legs so you can charge him with your back toward you.
Yhorm’s weapon
Yhorm the giant’s most powerful weapon is the Storm Ruler, which you can equip after killing him. If you can make Yhorm vulnerable to your attacks, you’ll be able to take out the most damage with this weapon. You can also use this weapon to inflict a lot of damage on enemies near his feet. Its notch allows you to use it two-handed.
Yhorm uses his sword much like the two-handed saw you can find in the Undead Settlement. It slashes diagonally and lengthwise. It rarely hits enemies directly, but if you’re standing in front of him, you can avoid being hit by his swipe. However, you must be careful because Yhorm’s stomps his foot on the ground occasionally, sending you flying backwards.
His armor
Yhorm is an enemy from the Dark Souls series. He has a full face, unlike the other giants in the game who have a hole in their face. This is a hint to his ancient Norse origin. The giant was also known as Mountain Jorm in the 1974 Swedish film Dunderklumpen. His armor is also similar to the Soul of Cinder’s.
In Dark Souls 3, Siegward can join the quest and fight Yhorm with you. His death is optional, and you may not have dialogue with him. He may also die during battle, but his body will still drop items from his corpse. You can collect his armor and the Storm Ruler weapon if you can defeat Yhorm the Giant. Eventually, you can collect the rest of his gear.
The great giant Yhorm is the descendant of an ancient conqueror, who sacrificed his life to save his people. He was also the one who forged his stormruler, which resembles a hollowed monster. The architect of the Profaned Capital also reminds one of Oolacile, but Yhorm’s red eyes are similar to other creatures with hollowed or cindered bodies.
His battle skill
You can use Yhorm’s melee attacks to slow him down. It is not possible to block his stomping attack, but you can dodge it to stun him. You can use his riposte, which deals significant damage, to stagger him and deal massive damage. Yhorm is sometimes referred to as Jorm. Jorm is an Old Norse word for huge, so it is usually pronounced like Y.
Yhorm is a grand giant who was a descendant of an ancient conqueror. He served as their sword and shield, risking his life to protect them. However, he eventually became a Lord of Cinder, and sacrificed one of his swords. His battle skill is called ‘Great Machete’, and requires 38 strength and 10 dexterity to wield. He can also use his Greatshield in front of him to block enemies.
