Yuri’s connection to Makarov
During the battle in the airport, Price and Yuri are pursuing Makarov. They are in pursuit of Yuri, who is impaled. During the chase, Yuri and Price are cornered on a rooftop, and Makarov nearly kills Price. Yuri intervenes to save Price, who beats him and kills Makarov.
Yuri betrayed Vladimir Makarov and the FSB and tried to stop the attack. He alerted the Federal Security Service but was caught by Makarov and was left for dead in the parking garage of the airport. He attempted to track and kill the Inner Circle, but he died from blood loss. Because of his hatred for Makarov, Yuri later joined the Loyalists.
Yuri’s relationship with Price
Yuri is a character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Introduced during the opening mission, “Persona Non Grata,” Yuri is an ex-Spetsnaz soldier who holds even greater dislike for Vladimir Makarov than Price. Despite this, Yuri is Price’s best ally in the game. As the game progresses, Yuri learns that Price is a former Ultranationalist and that he fought alongside Makarov for several years.
Initially, Price was confused as to why Yuri was trying to stop a massacre in Zakhaev International Airport. He was attempting to stop Makarov from shooting Zakhaev and CIA agent Alexei Bodorin. Eventually, Yuri was captured by Makarov and gut-shot by him in an underground parking lot. Yuri attempted to stop Makarov but was ultimately knocked unconscious and died.
Yuri’s relationship with Soap
The relationship between Yuri and Soap is a major plot point in MW3. Soap is a sniper who is hurt by a bomb thrown by Makarov in the Russian city of Kazan. During the battle with the Dehuai’s apocalyptic being, Yuri declares himself a swordsman, basing his Next Tier Power-Up on a comic book character called SwordXMan. During the next episode, Yuri takes on this form, which he uses to slay the Seraphic Radiance. The next episode finds Yuri six months later in the graveyard. A mysterious female character named Alice infiltrates his soul and links it to his Malice. The Graveyard will eventually kill her, and Yuri will be reborn.
