Does Contagion Stack With Pestilence?

One question I often get from players is: Does contagion stack with pestilence? Well, that depends on how you define “Stacking” in your game. The answer largely depends on the meta, but essentially, these two spells give you +1 to wound, +2 to strength, and +2 to cost. Let’s find out. Below are some possible answers. If you play with the correct meta, you can use both abilities in the same spellcast.

Do they stack

If you’re looking to maximize your antihealing, you may be wondering if you can use Pestilence and Contagion together. While they don’t stack, they do give you a 25% passive buff. Combined with a Toxic Blade, you get a 2x passive buff. The best way to keep the passive buff up is to use multiple Toxic Blades. However, keep in mind that Pestilence will not stack with Divine Ruins.

Contagion and Pestilence are a great way to heal yourself and deal more damage, but they don’t stack with each other. Depending on the god, you may have one or the other. A good way to use them together is to get a Lifesteal item, which allows you to heal yourself by attacking a friend or foe. They can stack with the passive ability of Cerberus.

+1 to wound

The ability to reduce the Toughness of an enemy unit is a powerful way to counter the effects of pestilence and contagion. In addition to this ability, Mortarion’s Toxic Presence allows you to kill marines with 4+ damage. To kill T3 units with this ability, you must roll higher than the Toughness of the target unit. Unlike some other abilities, however, you cannot use Pestilence to counter the effects of pestilence.

Pestilence is a powerful psychic ability that allows you to take out multiple enemies with one attack. In addition to this, you can stack it with the passive ability of Cerberus to make your damage output even greater. However, you should note that you should only use the passive if you’re playing against one opponent, and use this power on yourself in rare occasions. Pestilence is very effective at taking out multiple enemies at a time, so you should use it sparingly – one Pestilence is more than enough.

+1 to strength

Stacking Pestilence and Contagion is a great way to stoke your Death Guard and increase their stats. Pestilence and Contagion both give you a +1 to strength bonus and each buff stacks on top of the other. This is great if you have a lot of marines and don’t want to lose them to a bug. However, it’s not just for swarming and killing. Both abilities reduce the enemy unit’s stats by 1.

In addition to adding +1 Strength, Plague Weapon Upgrades are available for Character models and Champions. They can make a Plague Weapon a pseudo-Relic. Some of these upgrades are incredibly potent while others are more niche. The last one is very interesting and makes for a very niche pseudo-Relic. But the +1 strength often puts weapons into magic numbers. If you’re looking for a new weapon, Plagueburst mortar is a great choice.

Cost

The historical cost of contagion and pestilence is immense, and the costs of these diseases are often underestimated. In the sixteenth century, a plague spread in Europe that was caused by a bacteria that inhabited rodent populations and was spread by fleas. In this case, the disease had no direct contact with humans, but it was able to infect them through animals, and the spread was easy along established trade routes. Historians estimate that the plague killed anywhere from thirty to sixty percent of Europe’s population.

Raiment of Atrophy

This Raiment of Atrophy grants a friendly unit one of its special contagion abilities. Using this ability increases the damage of friendly units within 18″ or six” in size. It can also grant extra effect if it is combined with Gift of Nurgle. It also treats the current battle round’s number as one higher than normal. This is a very good power to have in a warhammer army, especially for Mortarion and Deathshroud/Blightlord Terminators.
