Elder Ring – How to Switch Skills

If you want to use a particular skill, but haven’t mastered it yet, you can do so by duplicating a skill from another class. For instance, if you’re using the Shield skill, you can dupe it with a Combat Art skill. But if you want to switch to a different class, you’ll need to learn the Ashes of War skill first.

Combat Arts

There are many ways to change the skill set in the Elder Ring, including Combat Arts. Each skill can be applied to a different weapon or skill. Using a Combat Art allows you to switch the way you fight enemies. You can customize the scale of a weapon’s skills, and can also add Ashes of War to your weapons. You can find Combat Arts on the Equipment screen, which is located near the weapon’s skills.

Ashes of War

There are many ways to use Ashes of War in the game. One of the most powerful Ashes of War is Gravitas Ash of War, which works best on Melee armaments. Its low resale value makes it ideal for Melee base builds. But, it is not appropriate for small armaments. Here are some tips to help you make the most of this skill.

Duplicating a skill

One of the best ways to improve your character’s skills is by duplicating the corresponding skill from another character in the game. In Elder Ring, you can do this by interacting with the Smithing Master Hewg NPC, located in the Roundtable Hold. The Smithing Master Hewg will duplicate any skill in the game that is named after an Ashes of War. But note that you can only duplicate Remembrances from certain locations. To achieve this, you must go to Mausoleums where the bells are, and then speak to the Smithing Master Hewg.

Shield skills

You can change the skills of your shield in Elder Ring by leveling up to level 85. This is a vital skill for any character focused on shielding. It affects all Shields in the game, including Greatshields. However, there is one important skill that all Shields should have, Shield Bash. Here are a few tips to switch your Shield’s skills. After you have leveled up to 85, you can use Shield Bash.

Sacred Seals

Sacred Seals are weapons in the Elder Ring that you can use to cast Incantations. They are vital to mage playstyles and are scaled with Faith. However, you cannot use Ashes of War to upgrade your Sacred Seals. A Clawmark Seal can be acquired by feeding a Deathroot to a Gurranq Beast Clergyman. Then, you must use it to cast Incantations.

Sacred Blade

There are many reasons to switch the Sacred Blade skill in the Elder Ring. First of all, it’s better than Sacred Order, and it uses a lot less FP. This is particularly useful for dealing with enemies who are made of a high amount of evil. Second, switching the Sacred Blade will allow you to use your weapon’s special abilities, such as Holy damage, to deal a much larger amount of damage.

Bloodhound’s Step

One of the best ways to avoid being killed by your enemies is to use Bloodhound’s Step. This skill functions like a quickstep but covers more distance. Moreover, it makes you invisible for a second so that attacks can’t connect with you. The bloodhound’s step can be used to move around your foe when out of FP. Its cooldown is 1 second, and it’s not spammable.
