Maliketh is a major point of no return in Elden Ring
In video games, a point of no return is an area where the player has no choice but to continue. They must continue to the next level or face the consequences of the decisions they’ve already made. In Elden Ring, there are several such points. Players must decide whether to accept invitations from other NPCs, or kill them to advance the story. Once they’ve chosen to kill an NPC, they’re locked out of further quests.
The fight with Maliketh is difficult, but is well worth it. A win against Maliketh will net you two20,000 runes and the coveted Remembrance of the Black Blade, a legendary item. The fight itself is split into two phases. In the first phase, Malekith is vulnerable, and once he’s at half health, he transforms.
It’s chaotic
It’s chaotic in Elder Ring, so how do you beat the Beast Clergyman? The first step is to enter the Crumbling Farum Azula dungeon off of Leyndell. After entering the dungeon, you will see the Beast Clergyman behind the boss fog. You should dodge his dagger strikes with your feet by rolling forward.
The Beast Clergyman is a dangerous boss, but not as bad as Maliketh, so if you have a summon, it works well. The summon has to survive the Beast Clergyman without taking damage, which is tough, since every hit he takes counts towards stagger. If you’re not careful, though, you may end up staggered!
Bosses are another great addition to the Elder Ring. Bosses are found in the overworld and traditional dungeon-style levels. Some bosses are optional, while others are essential for story progress. However, both bosses grant unique items and moves. You can find a list of the bosses on the Bosses page of the game. If you’re having difficulty, check out this guide to get an overview of the bosses and their stats.
It’s unpredictable
Learning how to beat a Beast Clergyman is essential if you’re planning on beating Maliketh. While the Beast Clergyman may seem threatening, he is actually not as dangerous as Maliketh, and if you can avoid him, it’ll make the fight much easier. In Elder Ring, you can also use a summon to attack Maliketh, but be careful: it won’t last long unless you can dodge his attacks.
To begin, head over to the Crumbling Farum Azula dungeon, which is near Leyndell on the Elden Ring map. Once you’re there, you’ll face the Beast Clergyman, a boss who will attack you with a series of dagger swipes. While the dagger may look small, his long arms make his attacks much more damaging than they look. This can be avoided by rolling forward.
It’s easy to cheese
If you’ve been playing the Elder Scrolls series for awhile, you’ve probably seen or heard about this simple technique for beating the Beast Clergyman. This method is incredibly easy and lets you knock his health to half in under 20 seconds, which is enough to kill Maliketh, the Black Blade. This method has remained viable even with the recent changes to the game made by FromSoftware. However, it is still worth mentioning that you should not attempt to roll through the black goo unless you know the exact location.
The first step is to get into a position where you can see the enemy. When the Beast Clergyman is in melee range, he will pause before attacking. He’ll also scratch the ground to create a large gap. This is the best time to put in your evasion, as he’ll often change direction mid-attack. Using evasion while he’s scrambling will enable you to get away with it easily.
