Forbidden Lands
The Forbidden Lands are a region in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that is located just outside the Eastern Region of Leyndell, the Royal Capital. The Forbidden Lands are not as large as some of the other areas of the game, and have few unique enemies and rewards. However, the loot you can get from the optional field bosses makes it worth it. You can use this area to connect Leyndell with the Mountaintops of the Giants, which will be a crucial step in the quest line.
The Forbidden Lands are the final bridge between the Altus Plateau and Mountaintops of the Giants, and can be accessed by traveling to the Grand Lift of Rold. A Night’s Cavalry is the boss you’ll face here. You’ll also face the Black Blade Kindred, a powerful Gargoyle guardian of the lift. When you defeat the Black Blade Kindred, you’ll obtain the Rold’s Medallion, which will allow you to unlock the Grand Lift of Rold.
Consecrated Snowfield
One of the most mysterious areas of Elden Ring is the Consecrated Snowfield. This region can only be accessed with the Haligtree Secret Medallion or the Grand Lift of Rold. This area is located on the lower western plains of the Mountaintops of the Giants. In order to access this area, you need to get two halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. Upon completing the quest, you will gain access to the Consecrated Snowfield.
The Consecrated Snowfield contains several Mini-Dungeons, each containing a unique item. This area also has boss fights, including one with Crusader Misbegotten. You can also find a non-speaking NPC in this area. As you progress through the Consecrated Snowfield, your visibility will improve. If you can manage to find this treasure, you’ll have found a valuable new item!
Haligtree Secret Medallion
The Haligtree Secret Medallion is a unique item that allows you to explore the Snowfields of Miquella in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This item is obtained far later in the game. You can find it in the Castle Sol in the Mountaintops of the Giants region. This item unlocks the snow area, and it is very useful for exploring the world and defeating unique enemies.
The Haligtree Secret Medallion can be obtained in two different parts of the Lands Between. You must obtain both halves of this medallion to access this area in the Skyrim expansion. When you collect two halves, you can then use them to unlock the Consecrated Snowfield of Elden Ring. You can also obtain the Haligtree Medallion by completing a quest.
Falling in the right spot for a Stake of Marika
The Stakes of Marika are a new feature in the Elder Ring. Each Stake of Marika serves as an additional resurrection point for the player. If you die near a Stake of Marika, you will have the option to ressurect at the closest Stake or Site of Grace. To use this method, you must be within range of a Stake of Marika. Once you die, you will notice an icon on your screen.
Once you have gotten the hang of the mechanics, you can start using the Stake of Marika to respawn. This method requires Torrent or double jumping. However, falling in the right spot for a Stake of Marika is an option as well. You can respawn in a Stake of Marika by dying in the catchment area.
