Known as the ‘Four Primal Bonfires’, this area contains a petrified Undead Traveler that blocks your path. In order to pass through him, you must have the Fragrant Branch of Yore, which you can find near Rotten’s fog gate. To reach the bonfire, you must also defeat the white phantom, Lone Hunter Schmidt.

Locations
If you have not yet completed Far Cry Primal, this guide will help you clear the four primal bonfires in the game. The first one is your introduction to the game, and is unfilled with enemies. However, you will encounter three Villagers who will spawn in the bonfire. The second bonfire is owned by the Udam tribe, and the third has three enemies. These bonfires should not be missed.
The second bonfire is found in the Dark Souls 2 world. After defeating the Rotten, you can go to this location. The third bonfire can be found in the Dark Souls 2 dungeon. The fourth one is found in the Rat King’s room, near the Ordeal’s End bonfire. However, there are a few other ways to get to these primal bonfires.
Bosses
The first three primal bonfires are located at the base of the Black Rock Slab and on the upper platform of the Dark Souls II. You can teleport to the other three bonfires by using the same method. The fourth bonfire is found at the Smelter Demon, which is located on the opposite side of the boss area. The last one can be found beneath the Earthen Peak lift.
The first bonfire can be found by following the Forked Road path from the Shrine of Winter to the Castle. To get to this, you must defeat the Duke’s Dear Freja. The second one is located in Brightstone Cove, but you must first defeat the Witch of Izalith. This location is easy to get to, as it is near the Forked Road Bonfire, and it respawns the boss for that area.
Items
The four primal bonfires are part of the game’s storyline, and they are incredibly useful for looting. Once you reach the Lost Bastille and defeat the boss, you can head to the first bonfire. This fire is at the end of the Sinner’s Rise quest, so don’t be discouraged if it’s not lit. The other three primal bonfires are found throughout the game and offer different rewards.
The first of the four primal bonfires is located in Majula. This area is also home to the Royal Rat Authority boss and summoning queue. Once you’ve defeated them, you can head to the bonfires to get special items and souls. However, it’s a bit tricky to find these items, so you’ll have to go through a few other quests to get them.
Fast travel to them
You can use Fast Travel to get from one outpost to another without walking all the way around. You can do this as long as you have a bonfire to claim and the option to light it up. It will appear as a green square with arrows on the map. Once you have lit the bonfire, you will be on the path to your destination. Fast travel also allows you to appear near an enemy outpost, so you can fight back faster.
The final Spirit Totem is located to the south of Night Watch Bonfire and Rotten Lake Outpost. It is found through a small passage between two cliffs. It is also found to the east of Hold Rock Bonfire in a deep mountain. Once you’ve completed the quest, you’ll be able to fast travel to the next bonfire. If you haven’t done so yet, you can wait a while to complete the quest.
