Garona came of age before the First War, when the Burning Legion was building its army to attack Azeroth. She traveled around Draenor as a young woman and became familiar with the cultures of the people she encountered. She eventually became part of the Burning Legion-controlled Shadow Council and was made a member of their secret society. She later became Gul’dan’s personal spy.

Though she is a human, her true race is unknown. Although Garona is half orc, she was originally half human. The storyline from the First War stated that fifteen years passed between the orc parties entering Azeroth and the death of King Llane Wrynn. However, later versions of the movie stated that she was a half-orc. The character also never mentions her draenei heritage, so it is unknown whether this is the case.

Durotan

In the World of Warcraft game, Durotan is the chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. After her father’s death, she took up the role, and the film picks up where that left off. In the game, Durotan’s leadership has led her clan to reject Fel, the dark magic of the Gul’dan. However, she is not entirely sympathetic, and her actions lead to a violent battle with her father.

In the movie, Durotan is the head of the Frostwolf clan. She is heavily pregnant with her first child, and wants to leave the orc clan to seek refuge in the human world of Azeroth. The conflict between the two clans begins when the evil orc warlock Gul’dan uses his magic to open a portal to the Azeroth continent. When King Liane discovers the evil plot, she orders Commander Lothar to capture her.

Go’el

Go’el is a character from the World of Warcraft. Go’el is a female orc who was held captive by her father Durotan. She was a Fel orc, which disturbed Durotan. He wanted to create an alliance with the human lord Stormwind, but Orgrim Doomhammer betrayed him. This resulted in the destruction of the Frostwolf clan. After the Fel were destroyed, the Frostwolf clan was purged and Orgrim convinced Draka to join him. After the Frostwolf clan was destroyed, the Blackhand were formed.

While the film depicts the first encounter between humans and orcs, its plot is more focused on the human side of the story. Go’el is a young female orc who aids Khadgar during the Battle of Azeroth. She also assists Khadgar in the defeat of Medivh and then meets King Llane. After helping King Llane, Lothar is forced to assassinate him. The evil Gul’dan is controlling her mind and forces her to commit murder.

Orgrim

The first female orc in the Warcraft movie, Garona, is a dwarf of orcish heritage. While female orcs are smaller in size than male humans, they are still taller than a human. Both orcs and humans are taller than five feet six inches, so this is a very fair representation of the gender. The female orc is not portrayed in the movie as the villain, though.

In the film, an orc named Garona is a half-orc slave of Gul’dan. While he’s at it, she slices a man in half with her sword. The orcs plan to use the humans as fuel for their war machines. Garona eventually leads Lothar to an orc encampment, where he encounters Durotan. Durotan asks Gul’dan about his fel magic policy, and Anduin rides a gryphon into battle.
