In World of Warcraft, Great Runes are mythical artifacts that can be attached to your character to give them potential buffs. You can equip Great Runes at the Site of Grace, where you will find an option called “Great Runes.”

Godrick’s Great Rune
To get Godrick’s Great Rune in the Elden Ring, defeat Godrick in Stormveil Castle. This rune is likely the first one you’ll obtain in the Elder Ring. It grants +5 attribute bonus. The next step is to activate it with a Divine Tower. Once you have activated the Rune, you can summon other players. If you’re not able to summon them, you must kill Godrick before you can use it.
Defeating Godrick the Grafted requires a high-level character. While the game may be challenging, defeating him is not impossible. Several Elden Rings have a hard boss named Margit the Fell Omen, but that one is not nearly as difficult as Godrick. The reason why players struggle with Margit is because of her low level and low equipment. It’s far more challenging to fight Godrick the Grafted, though.
Morgott’s Great Rune
If you have ever played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you know that the game’s most difficult boss fight is the Fell Twins. These twins wield a flaming sword and a powerful ax, and they appear outside and inside of the Divine Tower. Morgott and Mohg are twin brothers, and their Great Runes are similar as well.
You can obtain Morgott’s Great Rune by defeating the Omen King Morgott, located in Leyndell, the Royal Capital. He can be defeated in the “Elden” Throne near the Erdtree. Once you defeat him, you need to travel to the Divine Tower of East Altus to obtain Morgott’s Great Rune. It will increase your maximum health by 25% and apply various health increasing buffs to your character.
The game also features other items, like Great Runes. Great Runes are potent equippable objects with varying advantages. Once you’ve obtained one, you can use it to perform certain tasks. They remain active until you die, and can only be swapped with a Rune Arc. Great Runes are activated at the Divine Tower. You can also find these items online.
Rykard’s Great Rune
You need to reach the Divine Tower of West Altus to retrieve Rykard’s Great Rune. You can go south of Lyndell to the Sealed Tunnel. The first tunnel is hidden by an artificial wall. The second tunnel is accessible by climbing up the stairs. You must pass through this tunnel to reach the Divine Tower of West Altus. After obtaining the Great Rune, you must travel through the Divine Tower of West Altus to receive the Elder Ring.
Obtaining Rykard’s Great Rune is possible in the Leyndell Royal Capital. It is located inside the Sealed Tunnel, a secret cavern populated by Glintstone Miners. Once inside, the Great Rune grants the player an immense boost. This is a powerful item that you can use to get the greatest possible advantage in battle. The Elder Ring is available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One.
Rykard’s Rune restores Stamina
While the Rykard’s Great Rune is a high-level, highly situational healing item that works to replenish HP and stamina, it is one of the most useful runes in the Elden Ring. It grants a 7% + 80HP health boost and can be useful even at low Vigor levels, and it also works on passive wildlife in the Elden Ring.
The Elden Ring requires two Great Runes to function properly, but failing to power up one of them will prevent access to story-critical locations. Rennala’s Great Rune and Godrick’s Great Rune are the easiest to obtain, but you must be patient and wait for several hours to fully power them up. Unlike the other runes, the Rykard’s Great Rune will restore stamina in a different way, so players must take the time to find and power up both of them.
Obtaining the Great Runes is important because they provide huge buffs during difficult fights. However, you must first activate them at the Divine Tower of West Altus, which can be found in the Sealed Tunnel in the Altus Plateau. The rune only triggers when you defeat enemies, making it useless during boss fights in the Elden Ring. It is, however, useful when exploring new areas.
