General Shepherd betrays Task Force 141
General Shepherd, who is also known as “The One-Four-One” is a general in the U.S. Army. He leads a team of soldiers comprised of British, Australian, American and Canadian personnel. Each member has a wealth of Special Ops experience and is determined to do whatever it takes to protect the United States. After a disastrous war with Russia, he has a twisted plan that could take the United States to the moon.
The operatives of Task Force 141 had already secured a device that would stop Makarov, but General Shepherd’s plan was to kill Ghost. Makarov was a member of Task Force 141, and Price had learned his location from him. Eventually, the two men reached Site Hotel Bravo and awaited the general’s arrival. While Shepherd was about to shoot Ghost with his.44 Magnum, Soap was able to thwart the attack by tackling him. The two fought brutally in close quarters.
Makarov is aware of Allen’s true identity
In Halo 4, Makarov realizes Private Allen is the real identity of the Ghost. Makarov is an Ultranationalist who carries out five years of vengeance on the West. Private First Class Joseph Allen is embedded in Makarov’s team. When the American is attacked by Makarov, he kills him and leaves his body at an airport to implicate the United States of America in a false flag operation.
In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Makarov is a major villain. Originally, Makarov was a minor character in the game. He is a former Russian spy. Allenobn was recruited by General Shepherd, who wanted to send him on a dangerous undercover mission in order to gain Makarov’s trust. He eventually kills two civilians and reveals his true identity to Makarov.
Makarov leaves his body on the island to place the blame solely on the United States
The events that unfold on the island sparked outrage in Russia, which had never formally attacked the U.S. The people believed that the United States was responsible for the attack and were demanding drastic action against the United States. Makarov and his assault team used standard NATO and U.S. military equipment and spoke with an American accent. This resulted in a full-scale invasion of the United States, which Russian President Vorshevsky immediately ordered.
General Shepherd’s crash kills his pilot and co-pilot
A few days before the plane crashes, General Shepherd, a mysterious man, has a secret briefing. He knows where the Five Knights are: an island called Blackout. The Navy has barricaded the island with artillery, while the Army and Air Force are providing support. 30,000 US Marines will storm the island, and the Five Knights are assembling their own forces equivalent to their numbers.
During the Second Russian Civil War, General Shepherd was a U.S. military commander and commanded Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance units. The execution of Al-Fulani by Al-Asad triggered the invasion of the Middle East. The U.S. Marines took part in this war and in a nuclear explosion. Afterwards, Shepherd was declared a war criminal.
General Shepherd’s betrayal is a retcon from Modern Warfare 3
General Shepherd is the chief commander of the United States Army Rangers and the commander of Task Force 141. The main focus of his unit was to take out Vladimir Makarov, the leader of the international terrorist group OpFor. However, the game shows us that Shepherd has ulterior motives. He is actually a traitor who wants to start World War 3 with Ultranationalist Russia.
After the defeat in the Persian Gulf, Shepherd has a negative view of the world. Consequently, he begins secretly searching for ways to restore the United States’ reputation as a world power, while also trying to restore his own status as an effective military commander. To this end, Shepherd sets up Task Force 141 with John “Soap” MacTavish. The task force was supposed to test recruits from various special forces units.
