To obtain Halloween items in TF2, you must have a certain amount of Pumpkin Icon in your inventory. When you place this icon in your inventory, it indicates that the item has a certain quality, which is haunted. Haunted items are more rare than regular ones. When you unbox an eerie crate, you will have access to all items in the eerie crates. However, haunted items can be worn normally as well.

Crimson Cache cases give you access to 20 new cosmetics
Valve has released the Team Fortress 2 October 6 Update, which includes a spooky Halloween Event called Scream Fortress XIII, as well as 20 new community-created cosmetic items. This update is available now, but there’s no word on its file size. The event lasts until November 7th. Besides the new cosmetic items, the update also includes 6 new community maps and a Crimson Cache Case. The crates contain 20 new Halloween cosmetics, five taunts, and thirteen new war paints. You can even get a Soul Gargoyle to transmute your old Halloween items to more useful ones.
While the Crimson Cache Collection has been released for several years, the most recent update adds a few new maps, taunts, and contracts. The most notable of these new cosmetics is the Corpse Carrier, a Scout skin that gives the player the appearance of a severed torso. This item can make snipers’ lives miserable. It was very easy to obtain, and could be worn year-round, so the scariest part is that it’s a highly sought-after item in the TF2 trading market.
Soul Gargoyle replaces Haunted Halloween Gifts
The new item, the Soul Gargoyle, replaces the Haunted Halloween Gifts in TF2. These items can be obtained in a number of ways, such as through trading in untradable items and completing special contracts. In addition, players can now collect bonus items from the Halloween Transmute feature, which allows them to exchange the qualifying items for a cosmetic item. Every ten transmutations gives players an additional bonus item, which is guaranteed to be Haunted quality.
In TF2, the Haunted Halloween Gift is a large, lime-green gift box spawned in various areas of the game, such as the Eyeaduct, Ghost Fort, and Helltower. Upon collecting all of the available Haunted Halloween Gifts, a player would receive various items from them, including cosmetics and weapons. However, the Haunted Halloween Gift was later replaced with the Soul Gargoyle, which is the game’s new ghostly counterpart. These gifts are only available during certain events, such as Halloween, and will only stay in place until the next full moon event.
The Soul Gargoyle is an action item that grants access to Merasmissions during the Scream Fortress event. In addition, players can receive a special costume from the Soul Gargoyle by collecting twenty Halloween pumpkins from dead players in the game. The Soul Gargoyle will also give access to the ‘Secret’ spawn during this event.
Collecting pumpkins earns Candy Coroner Scarechievement
Having collected enough pumpkins will earn you the Candy Coroner Scarechiement in the TF2 Halloween event. To unlock this achievement, you must collect at least 20 pumpkins from other players. Pumpkins are respawnable and a small percentage of players will drop them. The next step is to target a Gibus player and kill them. This is necessary for you to earn Candy Coroner Scarechiement in TF2.
The Halloween pumpkin is an item unique to Haunted maps. It was introduced in the Harvest Event and appears on all later Haunted Halloween maps. The pumpkin contains two chocolate bars and candy corn. You can get it by killing players or breaking fake props. These items rotate like health packs and will only drop during the event. You can also use them for Bonus Objectives.
The Halloween patch introduced new cosmetics as well as Scarechievements for players to earn. Collecting pumpkins will grant you the Candy Coroner Scarechiement, which is a special cosmetic that drops randomly. Players will also be awarded a new hat if they kill players in the Halloween event. These new cosmetics are only available on the Halloween event or on servers with tf_forced_holiday set to 2.
