How to Build a Garage in The Sims 3

If you’re looking for a quick tutorial on how to build a garage in The Sims 3, you’ve come to the right place. These instructions will walk you through adding a side entry garage, building a vertical paneling or siding garage, and installing a garage door. However, you’ll want to be careful about uneven ground because it will make the tutorial less effective and can cause imperfections in the finished house and attached garage.

Adding a side-entry garage to a house in the Sims 3

The first thing to remember when adding a side-entry garage is that it will be a bit wider than a rear-entry one. That is because it will butt up against the side wall of the house. However, this will not be a problem, since you can build a porch on the side of the garage. It will also be a bit deeper, so the Sims will be able to move around it easily.

Next, you need to build a foundation for the garage. In the tutorial, I’m using a house with an existing garage, so I’ve made the window and wall blocks from the left side of the house to build the side-entry garage. You may need to move or remove objects to make room for the garage. After you’ve done this, you can then proceed to build the garage.

To create a side-entry garage, you’ll need to level the ground first. You can use a leveling tool, or you can place floor tiles to mark the area. Make sure to use a different color or pattern for the house and the garage. Because the leveling tool won’t level the ground completely, you’ll need to use floor tiles to create a smooth surface.

Building a garage with vertical paneling or siding

Building a garage with vertical paneling or walls is a fairly simple process. The first step is to lower the walls. To do this, hold down the CTRL key and drag the wall tool over the entire garage and landing area. Be sure to drag it from the top of the foundation level. This will make it look like the garage is floating and will be easier to handle. It will be much easier to do this if you lower the walls to a down position first.

Next, you will need to level the ground. To do this, you can either use the leveling tool or place floor tiles in the ground. The floor tiles should be of different colors than the house. It is important to use different floor tiles as the leveling tools will not completely level the ground. If you choose to use floor tiles, you must make sure they are a different pattern or color. This will make it easier to see any differences.

Before you start building the garage, you must have a foundation. The foundation should be larger than the garage itself. It should be at least five tiles wide and eight tiles long. You can build it bigger than that but be sure to turn off the auto roofs. After you have finished building the foundation, you can then install your garage with vertical paneling or siding. A garage is not complete without a foundation.

Installing garage doors

In The Sims 3, you can install garage doors in a few ways. You can either choose to make the garage walls full height or short. In the former case, the door is placed on the wall with the shortest height. The shortest height is suitable for a single car, while a double car door needs to be 16 feet wide by 7 feet high. You can also change the mode of your garage door. This will make it automatic and let sims pass through it. In both of these modes, you can change the look and feel of your garage door.

If you’re using a full wall for the door, you need to level the ground surrounding the garage. Using the Level Terrain Tool will flatten the spiked wall and make the garage walls the same height as the rest of the first floor. Alternatively, you can use the cheat prompt by pressing CTRL + SHIFT and then typing “boolProp constrainFloorElevation” (not a ‘t’). This will re-engage normal wall placement rules.

Garage doors are useful storage units. Using them is similar to using storage chests. To place items in them, simply click on the door and drag them into your inventory. As a bonus, you don’t have to worry about space since garage doors have no shared inventory. If you want, you can set the door to serve as the front door. There is no need to place a lock on the door; instead, it is possible to lock it just like any other door.
