You can get fetch lands in Dragons of Tarkir by playing Prismatic Vista or Filter lands. If you don’t have these lands, they are not a disadvantage unless your opponents have them. If they all have them, you’ll be at a major disadvantage. This is why the majority of Magic The Gathering teams dislike fetch lands in Standard. But this doesn’t mean you should never play them.

Prismatic Vista
Prismatic Vista is a basic land card that costs one life to cast. When a player casts it, he or she shuffles their library, searching for basic lands. The lands are not necessarily valuable, as the shuffled cards have a limited number of uses. Its beauty comes from its uncertainty. In addition to being a powerful card in Commander, Prismatic Vista can fetch basic lands in any color.
Using a Prismatic vista is not as effective as a Flooded Strand in U/W Control, but it can be a good budget replacement. While it can’t get you Hallowed Fountain, it’s still better than a plain or island. Moreover, it’s cheaper, so you can afford it more easily. So, if you’re a low-level player who doesn’t want to invest in expensive lands, Prismatic vista is probably your best bet.
Reveal lands
The basic lands in Dragons of Tarkir are Island, Throne, and Temple. There are fifteen variations of each. Many of these have gorgeous art. However, some cards have limited applications. If you are looking for a long-term casual buy, you should try this set. It might not fit in the current Standard meta, but it’s a strong set that will see the deck through the shake-ups twice in its lifetime.
The basic mechanics of Reveal lands in Dragons of Talkir are easy to understand. These cards have many singles value, but you might want to consider buying them as boosters. Some of them will be playable in pool, while others won’t be. As with any Magic game, it’s important to know which ones will be worth opening in booster packs. Unless you’re playing in a very competitive format, you’ll probably want to open cards that you’re not likely to use.
The new abilities are powerful. The Mardu’s Megamorph makes a castress a two-mana creature with haste. The new Temur ability Formidable allows you to act when all your creatures have power of eight or higher. The new Jeskai abilities, Bolster, and Rebound are all good. Reveal lands in Dragons of Tarkir can be very powerful, and the Dromoka clan has plenty of them.
Filter lands
The main benefit of filter lands is their flexibility: they are not tapped, and come into play in any color. They are also useful for drafting five-color “good stuff.” They take one mana of each color, and make two of those colors. This is an especially helpful tool when playing decks with greedy mana requirements. Currently, there are only two filter lands in the game.
In the story, Sorin Markov awakens the dragon Ugin from his hibernation, and the two agree to fight the Eldrazi. Ugin, however, insists on finding Nahiri, the Lithomancer who helped Sorin seal the Eldrazi away the first time. Sarkhan then learns that only he knows the version of Tarkir where he was born. Thus, he decides to stay on the planet.
