One of the most common problems in the Elden Ring is the dreaded Scarlet Rot. This poisonous buildup drains your health quickly. In fact, you can’t even kill it in one minute, and the buildup bar won’t run out for another minute! Fortunately, there are ways to get rid of the rot. Read on for tips and tricks! Listed below are some ways to get rid of rot.

Crimson Tear Flasks

Using Crimson Tear Flasks can be an excellent way to heal yourself. It is an incantation that heals over time, and it doesn’t stack with other healing effects. Be sure to check healing interactions, so you can select defensive tears whenever necessary. Here are some helpful tips:

Preserving Boluses and using Crimson Tear Flasks are both good choices for dealing with Scarlet Rot, but they are not a foolproof way to defeat it. The scarlet rot builds up in the Lake of Rot, and it can start cutting down your health well before you reach the finish line. The best way to survive a Lake of Rot encounter is to allocate all your Flasks to HP instead of FP. In addition, you should constantly chug health potions to prevent this. If you can manage to get through the Lake of Rot, the Flasks can be strengthened with Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears. In this way, you can spam health potions until you reach the next Site of Grace.

Using Crimson Tear Flasks will make your life much easier. They can be obtained from the Erdtree Avatar in the minor Erdtree south of Castle Sol, in the regular medallion area, and in the stone basin above Giant’s Gravepost Lost Grace. The Flasks that you use are Cerulean Flasks and Crimson Tear Flasks.

Immunizing Cured Meat

You can increase your immunity in Elden Ring by eating Immunizing Cured Meat. This is a consumable item which temporarily raises your Immunity stat by 100 for 60 seconds. However, it doesn’t reduce the effect of status effects, which makes it useful when you’re under threat from rot or poison. If you’re prone to rot, you can eat Immunizing Cured Meat to prevent it from causing your character any harm.

You can buy or craft Preserving Boluses to help boost your immunity. White Cured Meat is another good option to boost your immunity. Immunizing cured meat also helps to increase your overall immunity. Some armors have higher immunity than others, so you might want to consider eating some if you want to reduce your risk of rot in Elden Ring. Regardless of which method you choose, this new crafting system will give you the tools and materials you need to make a great immune ring.

Preserving Boluses

If you’re having trouble getting rid of rot in Elder Ring, consider crafting Preserving Boluses. These talismans work in several ways and can be found in several places throughout the Elder Ring. For example, you can craft a Preserving Bolus near a Shack of the Rotting and in The Lands Between. But, you can also buy three boluses from the Nomadic Merchant for 300 runes each.

To get the ingredients needed for preserving Boluses, you must first travel to the royal capital of Leyendell. It is located on the banks of the Siofra River. You can also buy these from a Nomadic Merchant on the Caelid Highway. You can also find ten boluses in the mountains between Leyendell and Caelid.

Incantations

In the Elden Ring, you can use magical sorceries and incantations to destroy the rot from your enemies. Dragon incantations, mainly Ekzykes’s Decay, and Scarlet Rot incantations, are useful for dealing with the dragon bosses. Dragon incantations deal direct damage to the target and inflict a rotting breath that deals significant damage over time. Both of these spells are very effective against regular enemies and in PvP situations, as the gas from Scarlet Rot is hard to escape.

Scarlet Rot is another deadly status effect in the Elder Ring. While you can delay its effects by using immunity items, incantations to get rid of rot will eliminate it completely. The scarlet rot cure will not protect you from other scavenger monsters in the area, however. Caelid and the Lake of Rot are among the most dangerous areas. Once you’ve cleared these two areas, you will be able to take out all the enemy enemies in the area.
