A thick roof collapse destroys the roof and spawns a rock wall. You can mine these rocks away or destroy them completely. You must be careful, however, because these walls have more hit points and will take more effort to get rid of. When the roof collapses, it also spawns a rock wall that has 5000 maximum hit points. The hit points are based on the depth of the mountain – the deeper you dig inside, the fewer the hit points. Likewise, the higher the mountain, the more energy you will need to mine it away.

AI Personas
AI Personas are AI robots that can be installed in spaceships. They can be tasked with many different tasks, such as cleaning, constructing, and destroying structures. Depending on the personality of the persona, AI Personas can be trained to do a wide variety of tasks, like removing thick roofs in Rimworld. The AI Personas are typically malevolent, and they have many negative effects, such as destroying colonists. However, AI Personas can also be trained to do the same, allowing them to make the best decisions for the colonists.
Genetic Engineering
There is no such thing as a child in Rimworld, so you can’t even find them by raiding faction bases. Rimworld, however, is renowned for its war crimes and the number of horrifying things you can do without the approval of the General Council. Your pawns can even react to crimes based on the ideoligion of the faction you’re part of.
