If you want to increase your honing chance in Lost Ark, you should first learn how to improve the quality of your items. The game makes better gear available in some areas than others. To upgrade your items without lowering their levels, you can transfer them to better ones. Visit your local honing vendor, click the gear transfer tab at the bottom of the dialogue menu, and then choose an improved item. This will transfer the levels from the old item onto the new one. Then, destroy the item that you want to upgrade.

Island Quests
There are numerous ways to increase honing in Lost Ark. To maximize your honing success, invest the maximum amount of Harmony Shards you have into each item. Once you reach 1370, you will be able to focus more on increasing your character’s stats and gear. This will increase the overall chance of your gears being upgraded. Also, do not forget to make use of the gear transfer system to transfer your upgrades to better items.
The first thing you need to know about the honing system is that the base success rate is decreasing as you level up. However, the higher the item, the more difficult it is to hone it. The game will display the difficulty of honing each item and the percentage of success at each step. The screenshots below show the success rates for items up to T3 in the Lost Ark. These are the most important stats to pay attention to, as they are crucial to maximizing your chance of success.
Metallurgy Special Materials
This week’s patch brings an expansion for Metallurgy, in which the honing rate of various equipment increases. It will include new materials for certain gear, including Destruction Stone Crystal and Guardian Stone Crystal. Players will also earn more coins for participating in Chaos Dungeons and the Grand Prix. Players can purchase these materials in various vendors in major cities, which will be stocked with Tier 1, 2, and 3 honing material chests and Metallurgy & Tailoring Books. Moreover, the Grand Prix will be available every week until the event ends.
To increase honing chances, players must use Metallurgy Special Materials. These materials are available for purchase in the Auction House and Mara’s Secret Shop. There is also a quest that requires them. The best use of these materials is when the weapon is at least 14 or 15 level. This is because the materials required for weapon upgrades are higher. Furthermore, if a player fails at a honing attempt, his Artisan’s Energy will increase by a certain amount. Once this energy reaches 100%, the next attempt will be guaranteed.
Artisan’s Energy
If you want to increase your honing success rate, the first thing you need to do is boost your Artisan’s Energy. This is the amount of energy that can be used to improve your weapon or piece of kit. Each time you fail, you’ll fill up more of the Artisan’s Energy bar. If you succeed in the upgrade, you will receive more Artisan’s Energy than you did when you failed it the first time. However, if you fail repeatedly, your Artisan’s Energy bar will be reset to 0% and you must start over. You’ll see how much Artisan’s Energy you have built when you improve your weapon.
Juicing materials is another way to boost your Artisan’s Energy. Unlike other weapons, juicing materials increases your chance to double the amount of gold you use for honing your weapon. You can get these materials from various vendors, including the Auction House and Mara’s Secret Shop. These materials also boost your Artisan’s energy, which will increase your success rate.
Costs of honing gear
To increase honing success, players must spend materials to craft blue rarity items. These items are available in the respective regions of the game. They can also be created as unbound items using non-Stronghold materials. Once created, the items are placed into the player’s Roster Storage, allowing multiple characters to use them at once. Additional materials are harder to obtain, but they increase the honing success chance by 20 percent. Those materials are consumed during each Honing attempt, so players should be prepared for the cost of crafting them.
While honing is an important skill, it’s not free. You must have a good supply of honing materials, and the cost of the materials goes up with the item level. Tier one and two have one Success Material each, while Tier three has three different rarities. Additionally, you will need Destruction Stones, Guardian Stones, and Leapstones to confirm the honing process. Finally, you must have sufficient XP Shards to complete the process.
