If you’re stuck wondering how to retire in The Sims 4 game, there are several ways to do it. The first way involves converting your current salary into a daily pension. The amount you receive is proportional to a third of the salary you received while working. For example, if you were earning $630 per day as a military officer, you’ll receive $210 per day after retirement. To calculate your pension in The Sims 4, add up the salaries of all your previous jobs and divide the result by two. Then, divide that number by seven to get the daily or weekly pension amount.

Freddie retires
Freddie, an elder male Sim, decides to retire early. He had spent years climbing the ladder of gaming professionaldom, but he never made it to his final career track. Luckily, he has a way to celebrate his golden years. You can choose from several social interactions to tell him you want him to stop working and start enjoying life. You can even replace his epitaph! After all, he was already a good employee!
During his career, Freddie was a leader in the local community, leading several bands in Newnan, Peachtree City, and Atlanta. He was also a softball coach for his church’s Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, as well as several other teams in the Newnan/Coweta Softball league. Freddie’s love of God was a legacy he passed down to his family. He loved church and Sunday school and was a member of the Inspirational Choir at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. He also loved NASCAR races.
Heirlooms
In The Sims 4, you can now buy heirlooms and receive a Retirement Chest filled with them. The heirlooms you purchase come with statues, but not all stories have them. To get the heirlooms you need, you can earn tickets by doing family events, story chapters, or opening family chests. You can also use these tickets to buy new heirlooms.
To use heirlooms to create new homes, you must first collect certain types of inherited wares. You can also buy heirloom tickets by selling duplicates of your Sims. You will get two Luxe Heirloom Tickets for a common heirloom and four Super Heirloom Tickets for a rare relic. After you have collected enough tickets, you can now retire your Sim.
Pensions
The number of pensions that your Sims can receive depends on their career status at the time of their retirement. The amount of pension you can expect will be based on the branch and career you chose for your Sim when he or she first became eligible for a pension. Once he or she retires, his or her pension will be equal to three percent of his or her previous salary. This way, a Sim can live comfortably on two hundred and ten dollars a day after retiring.
If your Sims have a good career, they will receive a pension that is equivalent to half of their salary a week. This amount increases each day when the Sims take part-time jobs. This pension will be visible in the second tab of the job panel. You can change the amount of pension you receive by changing the actions in your Sim’s career. You can also change your Sim’s career by switching careers or taking on part-time jobs.
Children events
The first thing you should know is that the game will announce your retirement when your Sim has four traits. Don’t be tempted to retire if you haven’t achieved all the requisite traits in the game! Click the Later button if you want to continue to play. You can always go back and complete your Sim’s traits later. You can also mentor your current sim by giving him/her heirlooms.
Retiring a Sim will not affect your game progression, but it can be a difficult decision. Sims will continue to grow older, even after they’ve reached level 16. If they don’t want to retire, they can stay on your lot as an NPC for a while. You can also retire your Sims if you decide later on that they’d rather stay adults. Retiring a Sim will give you the reward of making future generations easier and less tedious.
Creating a family with a retired Sim
In The Sims 4, you can create a family with a retired Sim. Retired sims are older and usually have gray hair and stooped necks. They are still able to live in your home, and will occasionally show up in your family portrait. During their time in retirement, they will occasionally leave behind a random heirloom for your home. You can also use their heirlooms to unlock new features and hobbies for your current sim.
Once you have created your family, your retired Sim can still work on earning hobby and career XP, and can give you heirlooms to unlock more game features. If you don’t want to wait for your Sim to retire, you can search for clues in the ‘Royal Wedding’ Treasure Hunt event in Smallfry. After you complete the event, your Sim will be able to choose to retire or keep working.
