Gauda can be soloed by any job
There are many jobs that can solo this instance, depending on the job and player skill. A Paladin can solo this instance with the help of its GCD healing skill, and the Sheep and Alexandrian Hider are both available in early trash packs. A Mage, on the other hand, can solo this instance using the Alexandrian Slider and Carbuncle. Using these jobs will require a significant distance from the monster, and the time it takes to cast these skills is long.
He uses Aerial Blast
You may be wondering how to solo Garuda Extreme. First, you must kill the two adds, Suparna and Chirada, so you can use Aerial Blast. If the adds are still alive when Aerial Blast is cast, your party will wipe. If both adds die, the party can survive and reach full health. This strategy is also good for Scholars, who can use Sacred Soil.
To use Aerial Blast, Garuda must be at least 50% health. Once he does so, he summons a swarm of Razor Plumes. Each of these fires an explosive wave of 2k damage. A single Satin Plume can easily wipe out an entire pillar. This strategy can be repeated as many times as necessary. Afterward, you can save your party by placing a Stone Pillar between Garuda and yourself.
He summons Razor Plumes
If you’re playing the heroic version of the game, you should be able to get around the entire arena by using the spiny bubble. These are useful for moving around the arena, but they can take a long time. If you want to be able to finish this battle without having to deal with a bunch of adds, the first step is to focus on destroying Garuda’s Plumes.
First, use the Mistral Shriek on Garuda. The first one will take a lot of damage, so it’s crucial that you do not get hit by the second one. When Garuda uses the Mistral Shriek, all surrounding rocks will take a lot of damage, which will make it harder for you to protect yourself. Once you kill the second set of Razor Plumes, you can move on to the third set.
He uses Spiny Plume
The first step to soloing Garuda is to get a few stacks of Spiny Plume on a few players. When the Garuda uses the Feather Rain, you can teleport through the cyclones with your OT and melee. When he teleports, he will cast Reckoning, which is very hard to dodge. You should then kill the two Spiny Plumes on the map and a shield will be created.
During this phase, you should switch between two ‘Spiny Plumes’. This will keep the Thermal Low debuff under control. If you switch between two tank roles, make sure you have one healer in each group. When the two tank members switch to Spiny Plume, the second tank should focus on killing the clones and Garuda. The off-tank should keep Chirada and Supurna far apart from each other so that they don’t ‘Stack’ each other.
