The Consecrated Snowfield contains secret entrances to late-game areas. The Consecrated Snowfield is the gateway to Mohgwyn’s Palace and Miquella’s Haligtree. Defeating Gideon Ofnir

In the quest “Defeating Gideon OfniR”, you must defeat the power-thirsty scholar, Sir Gideon Ofnir. The All-Knowing is an important enemy to defeat, as he can help you to gain access to the snow area. Sir Gideon Ofnir is found in the Erdtree Sanctuary, in the Roundtable Hold. His quest is to unite the Elden Ring. However, he loses his faith along the way and tries to prevent you from progressing to the Elden Throne.
