After the murder of the Furball, Matt and Felicia are unable to find Furball. They are able to find Furball but it is not easy to find the scorpion. The two friends help them, but they are still unable to locate the scorpion. They finally do find the scorpion and its killer. They all blame each other for the death and they try to punish each other.
In the end, Felicia kills Furball to punish Tom and Matt for the murder of Furball. She does this to make them feel guilty. The book is very much a great read, so be sure to check out the series.
