Is Riot going to nerf damage on League of Legends? What champions will be affected? Will MF and Gwen be nerfed? Will Swain be affected? These are some of the questions I have been asking myself since the release of the new beta. Check back on Friday to read my gameplay thoughts on the changes.

Will Riot nerf damage?
Riot has reportedly considered nerfing the damage of certain champions, but has not specifically stated if it will do so in the near future. Riot has been aware of player concerns about the damage that mage supports are doing in the MOBA. In October, the developer clarified that the changes won’t happen any time soon, but they would still affect the meta.
The nerf is not the first time Riot has addressed the power creep issue in League of Legends. The company has also acknowledged that the power creep issue has been an issue in Overwatch for some time. Although the company has said that a nerf won’t be implemented anytime soon, senior game designer Matt “PhRoXzOn” Leung-Harrison explained that any nerfing would affect pro play, sustain, tanks, and ADCs. Moreover, the changes would affect the game’s watchability and snowballiness.
However, nerfing damage isn’t the only way to make the game more balanced. The team is currently studying the effects of high-damage bursts on gameplay. This is because Riot wants to promote high-stakes decision-making, counterplay, and balanced gameplay.
Did MF get nerfed?
Many players have been complaining about damage creep in League of Legends for quite some time. Recently, a designer from Riot Games confirmed that the team is looking into reducing damage in all game modes. However, it is unclear if this means damage is getting nerfed entirely or simply tweaked. If so, the changes could have a significant impact on the game’s meta and player mechanics.
In League of Legends, the game has become faster-paced, with a variety of sources of damage. As a result, many champions have struggled to hold their own in the MOBA, especially in the late game. The upcoming damage nerfs are aimed at making champions more competitive and reducing the gap between damage and health.
In addition to nerfs for most classes, Zeri is also getting a nerf to her E cooldown. The nerf will reduce her ultimate damage and make her less effective in late game fights. Furthermore, she will have lower move speed per stack in her ultimate, reducing her mobility.
Was Gwen nerfed?
It looks like Riot has nerfed Gwen’s damage, and this will definitely have an impact on her solo queue performance. This nerf will decrease Gwen’s true damage conversion from 75% to 50%, making her burst damage lower than before. It will also make her Hallowed Seamstress less scary.
Gwen has had her base health reduced from 660 to 620, her passive has been changed to reduce the amount of damage that she deals to monsters by 50%, and her ultimate’s cooldown was increased from 100/90/80 to 120/100/80. The nerfs were targeted carefully, though. Riot Games released a preview of the patch, and it’s clear that the team was trying to make the nerfs less effective while balancing the game.
As a tank, Gwen’s damage is a bit lacking, but her other abilities are still worth having. She has the ability to dash a short distance, which gives her a small advantage over other characters in the midgame. Additionally, her first attack during the dash reduces her E’s cooldown by 25%. She also has a powerful auto-attack ability called Skip ‘n Slash, which resets her attack speed. The ability is also very useful in tank matchups, as it allows Gwen to attack even before she is hit.
Did they nerf Swain?
In patch 12.6, Riot Games changed Swain’s passive and changed its mana cost. It also reduced the cooldown of Demonic Ascension. These changes should increase Swain’s power and allow him to spam his ultimate more easily. However, some players are still unhappy with the changes. Riot is currently revisiting some of the changes made to the passive.
The changes to the Noxian General nerf primarily focus on making him more viable in solo and mid lane. They also changed his passive pull on targets that are crowd controlled. While the passive pull was removed, Swain’s Soul Fragment rip has been re-added to his E. The changes also have changed the way the character plays in teamfights.
In addition to the new nerf, Swain’s Q, Death’s Hand, received a number of buffs. For example, the Rank 1 Q now uses 15 less mana and has a shorter cooldown. It can be used to clear minions and destroy enemies. The rank three ultimate, however, now has a forty-second cooldown.
Will Riot reduce damage?
It’s no secret that the developers of League of Legends are trying to slow down the overall damage in the game. The company hopes to implement changes in time for the 2022 season, and a recent comment from Tim “Nemesis” Lipovsek highlighted the issue. Since then, the comments have gone viral on social media. However, the question is whether Riot will actually do it or not.
Riot hasn’t said specifically what changes will be made to champions, but they are aware of player complaints about overpowered champions. This is why they recently made changes to champion durability. As a result, players will experience less damage and team fights will last longer than usual. In addition, Riot has lowered the sustain of all champions. This means that champions will have to commit more resources to get quick kills.
Riot also argues that there is too much damage in League of Legends, and that it is detracting from the game’s competitive aspect. The developers say that the current damage output means that champions aren’t able to show their skills. But they stress that they are not trying to turn League of Legends into a no kills meta.
Did vi get buffed?
The latest patch for League of Legends is set to have two big nerfs – Xayah and Vi. Xayah is a champion with an extremely lethal build, and Riot Games thinks it’s too powerful. Meanwhile, Vi just received some rescripting for her spells.
The nerf to Blade of the Ruined King also has affected Vi’s damage in general. She has lost some of her damage, but has gained a significant buff for her ability to stun enemies. The nerf to Blade of the Ruined King was mostly a cosmetic fix, with a nerf to its overall damage. Vi also has a buff to her ultimate, which now does nearly as much damage as it used to.
Vi’s passive shield has been buffed to provide more protection, while her E crit strike has been increased from 10% to 15%. The nerf also boosted her passive shield, which has reduced the time it takes to heal. This means that her passive shield is now more valuable when clearing waves and getting kills, and her Q and E have become more potent.
Did Lux get nerfed?
Many players are worried that Lux’s cooldowns are too short. The new patch will add an 11 second flat cooldown for her first skill and reduce the damage scale at every level. The nerf will affect other heroes as well, including Gwen, Olaf, and Kai’Sa.
The new patch is intended to balance physical-damaging champions. It also moderately changes Rengar’s work and gives Gangplank more poking potential. It also nerfs Sona a little. However, it’s still unclear how effective these changes are. We’ll have to wait for patch 12.2 to find out which changes actually help champions.
Why was Yone buffed?
The question of why was Yone buffed in League Of Legends is a complicated one, but Riot Games has made some adjustments to the champion to make it more viable for solo queue. First, the buff has reduced the cooldown of Yone’s R – Fate Sealed, which pulls all enemies hit toward Yone. Currently, Yone’s R has a cooldown of 120/100/80 seconds, but will be reduced to 90/60 seconds.
Another reason for the buff is to counter the nerfs Yone and Yasuo received in Patch 12.6, such as the healing nerf and the Immortal Shieldbow. Both champions were considered “most broken” in previous updates, and this buff is designed to balance their weaknesses.
Secondly, the patch also increased Yone’s base health to 620 from 550. As a result, the champion was able to play with a higher health bar and better armor. In addition, she was able to gain magic resistance and increase her attack speed. The new changes are also intended to encourage more aggressive playstyles. As a champion who used to be a larger champion in pro play, the patch buffs were an opportunity for her to become more aggressive.
