The sequel to Episode VI, The Force Awakens, will bring new characters and adventures to fans of the original trilogy. The first film, Episode IV: A New Hope, had more than 70 million viewers and was the best-selling movie of the year in its release year. It also spawned several spin-offs, including Episode VI: A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The trilogy was later re-released theatrically, and many fans have been excited ever since.

The Clone Wars
The Clone Wars are a conflict that took place 32 years before the events of A New Hope. Known as the Battle of Naboo, the war saw the Galactic Republic battling against the Separatists and their battle droid army. The war was orchestrated by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, who was aiming to eliminate all Jedi. He also sought the help of the Galactic Republic, which sent Jedi ambassadors to the planet.
While George Lucas claimed that his story had political parallels to the Vietnam War, he actually wrote this backstory before the Iraqi war started. The Clone Wars also has some parallels to the American Civil War, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems shares the name with the Confederate States of America. The story is similar to that of the Civil War, and Count Dooku would have been accepted by his enemies.
The Force Awakens
Star Wars fans deserved more from the prequels than a mediocre sequel, but the filmmakers at Disney and J.J. Abrams didn’t let that stop them. The new film’s wacky imagination sparked a new generation of fans. It featured alien scenarios and characters that didn’t exist in the prequels. But Lucas’s prequels also had their flaws.
In The Phantom Menace, George Lucas focused on the teenage characters of Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker. His oblique references to “Darth Vader’s grandchildren” suggest that he was following the Star Wars “The Next Generation” model, and both Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa were pushed to the sidelines. In the newest Star Wars installment, Han Solo is now a major character, but he doesn’t play a central role.
Episode VII – The Force Awakens
The title of Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awaken is official! Disney released the title via Twitter. The subtitle feels like a classic Star Wars title, though it doesn’t mimic previous titles. Director J.J. Abrams has said that this film is meant to feel like an extension of the original trilogy. It uses practical effects and brings back much of the original cast.
The trailer music is a reworking of Williams’s earlier compositions, along with some new material by other composers. But the score is still a mystery, even though the trailer draws heavily from the romantic themes of Han and Leia. The soundtrack also contains whispered Sanskrit words from the Phantom Menace. The trailer music does not represent the full score, but it’s a good indicator of the overall style.
The Acolyte for Disney+
The Acolyte is a Star Wars prequel series that will focus on the rise of the dark side in the High Republic Era. It is a female-centric series set in a different part of the Star Wars timeline. It will be produced by Leslye Headland, the co-creator and executive producer of Russian Doll. Filming on this series is set to begin in London in February 2022.
The Acolyte will be written by Headland, the same person who penned the Star Wars prequels. Headland is credited with creating the series’ world, which is important given that many Star Wars fans have never seen in live-action. While casting has been rumored for a long time, the two sides have not confirmed this yet. But if Stenberg is indeed involved, then she’ll be the perfect fit for the role.
Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film
Chloe Zhao is reportedly in negotiations to direct Kevin Feige’s upcoming Star Wars film. She is best known for directing the award-winning film Eternals, which won the Oscar for Best Picture. Zhao has also worked with Marvel Studios before, on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Loki. Zhao’s rumored involvement in Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film contradicts reports from Cinelinx and One Take News. Zhao, who previously directed the critically acclaimed Spider-Man: Origins, has expressed interest in working on the franchise, and she told reporters earlier this month that she would be happy to take on any Marvel Studios project.
While Feige has been juggling numerous projects, he has been linked to the project for some time. A script has been written by Michael Waldron, who wrote the successful Marvel superhero comic Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While the director may not be a Lucasfilm executive, the director’s background could give him a distinct advantage in directing the upcoming film. Nevertheless, it’s unclear how far Feige has gone in his search for a star for the movie.
