Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is the fourth installment of the Warcraft story and includes the expansion packs for the original game and Beyond the Dark Portal. The game continues the legacy of the original Warcraft and its real-time strategy formula by focusing on the hero classes and race, including the Night-Elves and Undead.
A remastered version of the 2002 real-time strategy classic, Warcraft III: Reforged features cutting-edge visuals and rendering, a reimagined world, and a complete overhaul of the game’s gameplay. The game is a reimagined classic, with over sixty campaign missions and four different races, as well as a massive number of custom-made maps and player-created games.
The game follows three main characters, including a young human paladin named Arthas Menethil. He is corrupted and aids the Burning Legion’s effort to bring demonic forces to Azeroth. Meanwhile, a powerful Orc warchief named Thrall escapes human captivity and flees to Northrend. He is later forced to fight a demon warlord called Grom Hellscream, whose thirst for blood binds the Warsong clan to Legion control.
Reforged features completely new visuals and gameplay. The campaign spans 62 missions and features four playable races. It is also possible to customize your character by using the game’s World Editor. Warcraft III: Reforged is due to release sometime in 2019 and will cost $30 USD for the standard edition. We tested the game on a PowerMac G4 with an ATi Rage 128 Pro graphics card and it ran quite laggy. You’ll need a much better graphics card to play it smoothly.
The game’s long wait for the Mac PC version led to a delayed release, but now it’s here. While it has mixed reviews, it has a low Metacritic score and over 27,000 user ratings. Despite this, we enjoyed playing this game. The graphics are modern, and the game has a new storyline and characters. It also includes updated character models, and new cutscenes.
