Adamant platelegs (t) are a part of adamant trimmed armour and are a reward from medium Treasure Trails. They are identical to regular Adamant platelegs but require level 30 Defence to wear. There is no way to make these by smithing. Therefore, players must find other means to get them. The following are some possible drop locations:
Table of Contents
Champion’s scroll
In the world of Warcraft, the Champion’s scroll is an item that is dropped by certain monsters. This item has similar stats to the Adamant plateskirt but weighs one kilogram more. Once obtained, it can be smithed at level 86 in Smithing to add to your arsenal. You can also purchase Adamant platelegs at Louie’s Legs shop in Al Kharid.
Dragon
Dragon platelegs (or) are the dragon’s lower leg armor that is dropped by metal, skeleton, and revenant dragons. These platelegs are identical to dragon plateskirts and have the same stats. To obtain a pair, you need to be level 60 in Defence. Unlike dragonskirts, you cannot sell them. They can only be exchanged for other dragon armor, but not for gold-trimmed ones.
These platelegs require 60 Defence and are dropped by bronze, iron, steel, and rune dragons. They are also dropped by dragons that drop black gloves. You can get them by completing the Black Glove subquest. Unless you have a high level of Defense, you can expect to collect one or two of these items from each dragon. Dragon platelegs are best for levelling dragons as they increase your overall damage output.
The downside to Dragon platelegs is their awful defense stats. However, they can be paired with a Dragon chainbody, which is much cheaper and has better stats. Dragon platelegs will cost you 700k, and the plateskirt will cost you 200k. Wearing a dragon plateleg with a granite plate is not a good look. A more practical option would be to use a Guthan.
Skeleton
The skeletal wyvern drops a very rare drop, Adamant platelegs. The average chance of dropping these platelegs is one in 512. The legs are worth 161k each, and can be alched to receive the same amount of Ge as the platelegs themselves. These leg gems are valuable for ironman players as they can be used to make clue steps in quests.
In order to obtain Adamant platelegs, you must first defeat a wyvern. It is easy to kill a skeletal wyvern, and the drop rates are decent. You can get up to twenty bolts for every kill, making the drops worth a few thousand GP. However, this isn’t the best source of these platelegs since they drop rare adamant armor or weapons.
Demon
If you’re a warrior who’s looking for some extra protection, you’ll want to try out Demon platelegs. The metal armor gives your warrior high defence against three of the most common attacks, but has low defence against magic attacks. As a result, Demon platelegs aren’t as good as you would hope for. While these platelegs do give you some nice stats, they’re not the best choice for your spec.
