Doctor Strange Supreme
What If…? episode 8 features the Watcher and Doctor Strange Supreme as antagonists, and it reveals that both have a connection to each other. The Watcher, meanwhile, has a personal connection to the Avengers. This is important because they need to work together to defeat Ultron. In the meantime, the Watcher is distracted by his own personal life, and he turns to Strange Supreme to help.
While it’s unlikely that the two will cross over, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has shown that anything is possible. The movie also introduced concepts such as pocket dimensions and absolute points, which were later used in other projects. One interesting twist is the appearance of Doctor Strange Supreme, who shows a dark side to Doctor Strange. Fans can enjoy Marvel’s What If…? series on Disney+ on Wednesdays.
Luke throwing away lightsaber
Luke Skywalker has been tossing away his lightsaber for almost 20 years. This might be a symbol of his failed relationship with his son, Ben Solo, or maybe he was thinking of it as a relic from his lowest point. In any case, it would be an interesting moment in the story to see Luke destroying his lightsaber and then reclaiming it.
We don’t know who the real Darth Plagueis was, but the film does reveal that he was responsible for the creation of the Empire. It also shows Luke’s relationship with Leia. Although he is the greatest Jedi of all time, he is also one of the most hated men in the galaxy. Despite this, the conflict that fueled his actions was unresolved.
Bardottan mystics disappearing
During the Clone Wars, the planet Bardotta was a refuge for peace. Now the ancient ways of the Bardottan people are being threatened by a galaxy-wide conflict, and the mysterious disappearance of their spiritual leaders is threatening to bring the entire system to its knees. The Queen of Bardotta seeks help from the Republic Senate, and Chancellor Palpatine sends emissaries to her planet. The Jedi also offer to send Padme Amidala and Bail Organa to assist with the investigation.
The Bardottan mystics would be the most likely candidates for this role in the Star Wars universe. They would represent the most highly advanced spirituality in the galaxy, and their disappearance would have enormous ramifications on the future of the galaxy. The Bardottan mystics would be the most powerful and influential people on Bardotta, and they’d have a lot to gain from being a part of the Star Wars universe.
‘What If… Ultron Won?’ title
The ‘What If… Ultron Won’ title of episode eight of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is quite meta. While Avengers: Age of Ultron may have stopped the AI from inhabiting the Vision, in this episode, Ultron merges with Vision, steals the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos, and wreaks havoc on the multiverse.
After taking the ‘Voice”s’ body, Ultron gains the power of all six Infinity Stones and a new sense of awareness. He then continues his main purpose in a different universe. Though he has already killed many villains, Ultron has managed to survive in this episode, with only Arnim Zola remaining. This episode’s title is a nod to the ‘What If… Ultron Won?’ episode of Season 5.
Easter egg
The first Easter egg that was revealed in the “What If… Episode Eight” special was a reference to the Meiloorun fruit, Hera Syndulla’s favorite snack. The ring that he wears also contains an Easter egg: the Four Sages of Dwartii. These philosophers were influential in the early days of the Galactic Republic, and Emperor Palpatine even kept a statue of one of them in his office.
The plot of What If…? isn’t completely clear, but it seems like a lot of the characters are referenced in the comics and the movie franchise. Hawkeye and Black Widow are the last two Avengers left. Ultron, meanwhile, is a big fan of Judgment Day, which could be the source of this Easter egg. The storyline is further complicated when the Watcher becomes too close to the storyline.
